Really enjoyed our meal here today.
Staff were very friendly and food really good.
Good selection, including kids options. Reasonably priced and plenty of parking.
Heard that The White Lion at Llanclys cross had been taken over by a new landlord and did a complete revamp to it.
Popped over to see for myself if it lived up to all it's good reviews and, it certainly is true and looks fantastic. What an amazing transformation from the 8 years or so ago that I last popped in!
Peggy and Owen the staff were very friendly, welcoming and made me feel totally at home. The inside decorations are warm, modern and relaxed and the outdoors seating area and new BBQ oven looks great, wow!
Met Steve the new proprietor and landlord and his smiling personality and friendly character was a delight to experience.
I decided to have a light snack and ordered their Sausage with Red onions Baguette which came with homemade chips.
The freshness of my baguette, sausages, red onions and chips were delicious, chips exactly how they should be, crispy chips..no saggy bottoms here!
My pint of Station pale bitter cask ale from the local Stonehouse Brewery in Weston was perfectly kept, perfectly chilled and served in a proper "handle/jug/pimples&dimples" pint glass, yes!

Great meal out last evening to mark my wife's retirement. Good choice on the menu. Great food served piping hot and service with a smile.

Popped in for a refreshing drink whilst on our way back to Bristol from Snowdonia. Large car park with solid ground for the bike stands. Sheltered tables. Clean toilets and the inside of the pub looks fancy
Lovely staff who went out of their way for us and the decor and atmosphere was lovely ????. We had the Thai green curry and the sirloin steak, lovely food ????
Good selection of food (including larger main meals, light bites and a children's menu) and food is good quality. Prices are reasonable.
Dogs are welcome here and there's a little selection of dog treats at the bar.
The place is clean and welcoming. Staff are polite and friendly.
I love the attention to detail in the toilets, with the little amenities to use if required - I think that's such a nice touch!
Been to the White Lion twice since the change in ownership and will definitely return. The service is excellent, and the food is even better. I would go as far as to say the chips are some of the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The chocolate fudge cake is fantastic, whoever had the idea of sprinkling on the chocolate chips is a genius! Very reasonable as well. Great to see them using ingredients from local businesses too. Would strongly recommend a visit
