Another ride to try a local place. On the waitstaff recommendation, got the hotdog special all the way with fries. Standard fare, but was hot and good tasting. Everyone working there were exceptionally nice and welcoming.
Greased up food. Waitress had an attitude. God awful experience. I am unsure if id ever eat here again. I know this town is small but get people

Cool little hometown drive in, diner. It’s not hipstered out, seemed to be the way it has been for a long time. Good burger, good service, nice staff.
When you drive 45 minutes for the best hot dogs and hush puppies you know they are good! The Big Jim is also very good!
This was always a favorite spot when I was in high school and later, while raising my own family. Even after I moved away from Eden many years ago, I still look forward to coming back to enjoy the excellent Barbecue, Hot Dogs, Burgers and Fries. In fact, everything on the menu is very good and reasonably priced.
Very impressive service!
I pulled into parking space & literally 3 seconds later staff came to take my order!
Food is a great value for the $ too! Also great milkshakes

This review is 100% biased.
I was born in Eden, NC. My grandparents brought us here somewhat regularly, and, as a result, having "two cheeseburgers with mustard, chili, and slaw, along with a side of french fries and hush puppies" is my "Rosebud."
The food is ridiculously good; they are a true Drive-In if you want, and if you ever anywhere near EDEN, NC, you should try them.

I was back in my birthplace for my 79 y/o Mom's wedding, so I *had* to stop by Dick's Drive-In a couple of times.
First visit was a cheeseburger w/mustard, chili, slaw (which I've ordered since I was a child) and fries. Ridiculously good.
Second visit was inside the restaurant w/brother and his awesome family. Seeing that Dick's had won "best hot dog in town," I ordered that with "the works" and my usual cheeseburger w/mustard, chili, slaw and fries. Also got some hush puppies for the family to try and some slaw.
The hot dog was so vibrantly pink that my nieces recoiled but I devoured every bit of it and everything they delivered.
My nieces were skeptical, but said they ended up loving it, which brought me joy.
I heart this place.
Great diner, so glad we came across it. Will definitely go back. Can't beat diner food, prices or friendliness!
