Sehr ???? leckeres Essen, nettes Personal ,einfach klasse
Solid choice for a classic breakfast. I didn't find anything we had as spectacular (however, my paradigm is that it is hard to wow me with any breakfast item). Everything was well prepared and the flavor was good. Ambiance is what you would expect for a pancake house that has been around 50 years. Service was pleasant and took good care of us.
Okay, absolutely crazy good! This is the OG!
Waiter suggested mixing your favorite ingredients into your pancakes and it was the TOPS! And they served five pieces of bacon with the eggs! And 4 links with my eggs. I will definitely be back when in Birmingham. Highly recommend!
I came here to try the gluten-free pancakes since some reviewers spoke so highly of them. We were seated right away but had to wait for waitress to serve us. Her name was Cassandra. We ordered one order of gluten-free pancakes to split and I asked for extra butter. Not only did Cassandra not bring the extra butter but she also didn't bring an extra plate. She asked us if we wanted an extra plate. Well of course! And extra butter too please. She gave us an extra plate but no extra butter.
The pancakes were okay. The syrup was bland and the coffee was bitter. The sausage links were pretty good.
We did get our extra butter after asking again.
I originally ordered grapefruit juice but they were out of it. So I ordered coffee. You know what happened when we got the check. She had not removed the grapefruit juice and added the coffee. She said that was because the coffee cost more that the grapefruit juice. I don't think so. My hubby pointed this out to her and she gave us the difference in change.
Overall I was not impressed.
Was in Birmingham AL, on business and found this Gem of a breakfast restaurant near the hotel I was staying at. The food and the service were amazing. The Omelet was so incredible. It turns out we have an Original Pancake House here in Denver as well. Thank you Original Pancake House Birmingham!
It was a good breakfast spot! Extremely busy and the wait was a bit long but it was good food in the end. The omelette isn't a French omelette but it was nice and very filling, they can feed two people if needed as they come with pancakes too.
We also had the peach pancakes, which is essentially a regular pancake with a nice peach spread on top of them. All of the food was good and would recommend it if you enjoy breakfast foods!
2nd time 2 eat here. 1st time was great but this time disappointed. I accept that it's a cute hole in the wall place as far as the decor but...
My fried eggs were cold.
They offered 2 replace but I was already full on the pancakes by the time they checked in on me, so they adjusted my bill. I do appreciate that.
Photo is of my husband's scrambled eggs which were not hot but not cold like mine.
Love it. I never eat pancakes, but they changed my mind. Instead of a mouthful of paste, I had mouthful of happiness. The pancakes were flavorful and luscious.
