Loved it and will go back! Brandy cut and styled my hair. She did a fantastic job, was personable and patient. Asked thoughtful questions about what I wanted and needed. My hair is thinning and I wear it short so a proper consult was necessary. Staff is professional and they have a nice selection of products. Cannot beat their prices! Salon quality at Supercuts prices. I also purchased two Nioxin kits for the price of one which is unheard of!! So lucky they had a sale because Nioxin changed packaging.
I've had good experience at this location, with the exception of MARGO. I went on for a way & dry. She did so, but then proceeded to add product and put my hair in a ponytail, and charged me for a style! Talk about ripping off a customer! The next time, she ignored me when I came in, despite being up in the front of the store. Get your hair done by literally anyone else there, though. The others are great.
I made an appointment a week in advance for Friday, February 18th @ 10 am. I was aware that the weather was awful the day before so I did call the salon over 8 times to try to confirm the appointment. No answer whatsoever. I thought to myself that I should still show up to said appointment because at no point was I contacted by the salon for a cancelation. I showed up friday morning waited an hour, NO ONE SHOWED UP. I’m really disappointed, I needed my hair done. As a mother I do not often get to spend on myself. I was really excited only to be met with disappointment and unprofessionalism.
Very accommodating! The online scheduling system does not work at this time-- it just cancels your appointment later on. I called their number, however, and they were able to schedule me! My stylist (I believe his name was Toby) was very pleasant and easy to work with. I am usually bad at explaining what I want in a haircut and he was very understanding. I love my cut and will definitely be back!
Why must we pay for cleaning up the area because of covid? No other places I know charge for this service. Plus I wasn't happy with my haircut. I'd already told her twice I wanted it shorter. I finally just gave up and said fine. Paid almost 20$ for a cut, and cleaning up of my area. Ridiculous.
I went to this place for years to get my haircut. It was basically the same staff for a long time. I got to know them and enjoyed my experience there.
For whatever reason (management?) that all changed a couple years ago. There was a lot of new staff but even the one’s who had been there for awhile no longer seemed to want to do their job. I’d go in with maybe 1 customer waiting and I was told it’d be a couple hours. This was done with an exasperated tone and with 2 or 3 employees standing around chatting or heading outside for a well deserved smoke break.
After the third instance like this I vowed to never return and I have not.
That being said my wife still wanted to go there to get her eyebrows waxed.
She experienced the exact same attitude about a year ago and had not returned until today. She decided to give them another chance (she’s more forgiving than me). This time she explained why she was there, was met with an eye roll and told it would be several hours even though there was no one there waiting.
She won’t be back but they apparently don’t care.
I have no idea why this attitude persists but I have to believe if there was competent management it would not.
These people are in the service industry but have no work ethic nor manners.
Disgraceful. Go to Great Clips. They’re right down the road and have a friendly, professional staff.
I love borics, but they are never open it seems like! We lost our Champaign branch and we have Urbana and Savoy, but they never seem to have the staff to stay open. I can't blame them because of COVID displaced a lot of people's jobs. I love how flexible they are when they are open. Overall a good place just the hours stink. :(
I Have been going to this place for hair cuts for over 9 years. The last year i went to this place made me realize that i needed to try new places. There is a lady who seems like a manager that comes off a bit rude. I was OK with that and realize that some people are just a bit gruff. The last time i went there for cut,I decided to get there minutes before opening to see if i could be first in line. The door opened and i walked in. The lady I mentioned earlier was there and immediately told me that she had no openings and told me to look around, She said "do you see that I am the only one here? I have people that have made appointments already. " This is fine and i get that she is alone. All she had to do was tell me to make a appointment and i would have. But snap and sound of how annoyed she was that i walked in right when the door opened told me that I was not welcomed here anymore. So I have found a new place and am very happy.
