We absolutely loved this little store! And we found everything we needed. They have a really good selection for such a small place as well as a deli and seating to eat outside. And don't miss the homemade jams and jellies! The T.O.E. Jam is the best!!
This is an incredible little grocery store – everything you'd need to supply a weeklong vacation, and then some. Really makes the most of selection within of a very small footprint, plus a few personal touches that take you back to another time. Ample alcohol section, separated from the rest of the store.
I know some people say it's a bit pricey. Well, it's the only game in town, and it's a tourist town. All in all, no complaints.
Great store! One of the best things in Helen if you ask me ???? They have everything good, including many unique items. Some items are very affordable too. Some are pricey. They have a bee hive inside the store in the honey section (behind plexiglass). Just remember, you can't buy alcohol until 12:30 in GA. So if you are planning to pick up some German beer on your way out of Helen (like we were), just remember you can't do it in the morning ????
If you are in Helen definitely you need to visit this amazing local shop. Their sub is amazing and delicious. Make sure to test their German potato salad. They have variety of sauces/ condiments which you can add on the sandwiches.
Oh my gosh! We have been visiting Helen for years and never once stopped in this place. Today we were with friends and she suggested that we go by Betty's to get some sandwiches for a picnic lunch. I'm so glad we did. The sandwiches were delicious and one was more than enough food for my wife and I.
The big 'OH Wow' for me was the store. Never did I expect to find so many things to look at in this store. From the street it is an unassuming looking place, but you have to step inside to realize how amazing this place it. There is a full blown meat market, deli and much more. This place harkens back to what stores looked like in the 20's and 30's. By all means check out this place the next time you are in Helen, GA!
Pet friendly. Loved the outside patio, bar. Huge beer selection. Not a large food selection. Pub type food menu. We browsed the store, enjoyed a drink on the patio and ate elsewhere. Very nice bartender.
Great store. It has a deli, meat department with seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables. Just like a regular grocery store. Plus a big selection of wine and beers. You can sit outside on the porch and drink your wine and beer. We had fun looking around.
Love this place. Absolutely is a 1 stop shop. We were there 2 of our three day weekend. Sat at the bar, tried a new beer..Thank you Paige???? We came for food for the Georgia game. My husband had asked about their rotisserie chicken cooking and if the sold them whole. We went and looked around some and went to have a beer. The nicest young lady came and found us and asked if we still wanted a chicken!! I mean you have to get the chicken then, when they find you holding a freshly cooked chicken!!!, And it was so good. We bought a couple of hats as well, and we got to pay for everything on our beer tab...YAY!!! Everyone is so nice and I cannot wait to go back. On my have to go places in Helen❣
