The Larder is a nice coffee place where you can get different cakes, scones and sandwiches/wraps. The chai latte was absolutely delicious. Falafel wrap did not disappoint either. The sausage roll was the best I have tried! Lovely scones with cream and jam. Definitely recommend
Pretty decent coffee and baked goods. I stopped off for a smooth tasting flat white and a Portuguese tart. Both were excellent! The cafe is in an attractive Georgian building and has been converted nicely.
Good coffee and food, done well in a nice environment…sounds simple, but so many places get it badly wrong. So we’ll done to the Larder ????????
Very noisy with the coffee grinding machine right next to the till. Old people shouting to each other because of the noise. It was not a place to go and relax. The latte was very small for the cost of £3.10. I would expect a large for that price. The latte I had was served in a glass with no handle, and hot drink should at least have a handle. The cake I had was dry and fairly tasteless.
So, if you want a nice relaxing coffee and cake. Don't come here.
At the front of the iconic historic building built because of the spa waters of leamington.
Cafe at the front and library at the rear . Great place to meet up & then explore the beautiful parts of leamington.
Lovely little cafe.... top marks for gluten free cake that tastes like cake.
A calm and aesthetic cafe with a variety of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian options. My go to place for a quiet breakfast. The coffee tastes amazing too. Definitely recommend.
They make excellent upmarket quick bites and sweet treats here with good coffee too. The atmosphere is just lovely. It keeps the regency theme of Leamington in a historic building whilst making it modern and comfortable. Really excellent.
A decent café in Leamington Spa's Pump Rooms. It's ideal for tourists because The Pump Rooms have a library and an Art Centre - so you can take a break for a coffee and a bite to eat. My only criticism is the prices - I asked for a run-of-the-mill small Americano coffee. The coffee was 'small' but it cost just under £3 - typifying our modern coffee-shop rip-off culture. Aside from that, it's a decent place and the loos are usually nice and clean, too. ????

Quick Facts About The Larder

The Larder place, based on the comments provided, seems to have several strengths as well as a few weaknesses. In this analysis, we will explore these aspects in detail, focusing on the strengths and weaknesses in terms of the coffee, food, atmosphere, pricing, and customer experience.
One of the main strengths highlighted in the comments is the quality of the coffee and food. Multiple comments mention the deliciousness of the chai latte, flat white, Portuguese tart, scones with cream and jam, gluten-free cake, and the sausage roll. This suggests that The Larder place excels in offering a variety of tasty and well-prepared food and beverages. The positive feedback on the coffee indicates that the establishment has a skilled barista who can consistently make high-quality coffee.
Another strength mentioned in the comments is the pleasant atmosphere and aesthetic appeal of The Larder place. Several comments mention the attractive Georgian building and the successful conversion of the cafe space within it. The combination of the historic setting and modern comfort creates a unique and inviting ambiance. Furthermore, the mention of a calm and quiet environment suggests that the cafe provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for customers, making it an ideal place for a quiet breakfast or a meeting spot before exploring the area.
The location of The Larder place is also highlighted as a strength. The fact that it is situated in the historic Pump Rooms adds to its appeal, especially for tourists. Visitors have the opportunity to take a break, enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat, and also explore the library and Art Centre nearby. This location makes The Larder place a hub for cultural and social activities, allowing customers to experience more than just the cafe itself.
The Larder place also receives praise for catering to different dietary needs. The mention of gluten-free cake and a variety of vegetarian options demonstrates that it is inclusive and accommodating to various dietary preferences. This could potentially attract a wider customer base and create a sense of inclusivity and diversity within the cafe.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One customer found the cafe noisy due to the coffee grinding machine situated close to the till, which resulted in older people having to shout to communicate. This suggests that the layout of the cafe might need some improvement in terms of noise control and customer comfort.
Another criticism is the price of the coffee. One customer expresses disappointment at receiving a small latte for £3.10, expecting a larger portion for that amount. This comment reflects the perception of high prices, which some customers might find off-putting. The mention of a run-of-the-mill Americano costing nearly £3 signifies a potential issue with overpricing, contributing to the perception of a rip-off culture in modern coffee shops.
Furthermore, one customer found the latte being served in a glass without a handle to be unsatisfactory. This suggests that the cafe might need to pay more attention to small details and presentation to enhance the overall customer experience.
In summary, The Larder place has several strengths, including the quality of its coffee and food, the pleasant atmosphere and ambiance, its location within the historic Pump Rooms, and its inclusive menu. These strengths contribute to positive customer experiences and make it a popular spot. However, there are a few weaknesses, such as noise levels, potential issues with pricing, and the need to improve small details. By addressing these weaknesses, The Larder place has the potential to become an even more successful and customer-friendly establishment.
