Another pub I visit often, service here a little friendlier than its sister venue (Winterseam) however, once again recently price increase and the companies focus on profit over customer satisfaction leaves the weatherspoon brand declining vastly.
we ordered our food online at this spoons, we got 2x chicken tikka masalas, and there wasn’t any option to change the rice to chips, and half of the rice was hard with bits in it since it’s microwaved, the chicken was veiny and chewy, the waiter was rude and impolite and my other half ordered a the wrong drink so they then took it away and didn’t bring any other drink or ask him and didn’t refund us. do not recommend
A good pub. Was busy on the Saturday we visited. We were on a bit of s mammoth 35 mile canal walk and this "Spoons" was a very welcome half-way pit stop. A typical Wetherspoons but we did comment that the staff were especially friendly and efficient. Food was if usual quality and there was a beer garden to the rest.
Great food, friendly atmosphere, can get very busy but service is still swift and staff are really friendly.
Probably the best place to eat out in Castleford.
Excellent place, I regularly come here and look forward to it. Great value, wide choice of food and drinks with accessible entrance for both the pub and toilets. Staff are very friendly and helpful, regularly accommodating to disabled customers where needed. Only improvement could be an extra push with keeping the tables clean and tidy.
Always worth popping in for a pint, or a coffee after shopping in Castleford. It's a 'Spoons' so the usual great prices for food and drinks.
The staff are very welcoming and the food is always good, especially the all day brunch.
The toilets are up the stairs as is traditional seemingly in a Wetherspoon's and the usual local history information is on the walls.
Good pub.
Typical wetherspoons. You get what you expect . This one smells like aging pub , its a but dated but still very cosy and with plenty of booths to sit in . Toilets upstairs are not as cool as some spoons ive seen. Quite smelly . Its always busy here from early in the day . The staff are always friendly . There is 2 beer gardens outside and plenty of seating area there . As usual good value for drinks and food . Good location , right in the centre of castleford
Good choice of real ales. Easier to get served than most wetherspoons. Wish my local in Pontefract was as good
