Chicken fried rice with no chicken….was like bland boiled rice…had a small takeout from these, it really wasn’t all that good. I ordered chicken fried rice which literally had 3 tiny pieces of chicken so it was basically egg fried rice with no egg. The rice was completely tasteless like it wasn’t seasoned at all and had a musty taste like it hadn’t been washed or boiled properly prior to frying. I love fried rice, I’ve ordered from all over the country and know that this wasn’t prepped or cooked properly and it was that bad that I left a review on Google. The sweet and sour sauce was like runny red water with no taste as well. Chicken balls were good though and that’s all we ate of it. Ordered on a Wednesday night.
Had two takeaway meals from here now and the food is excellent!
I have worked in a Chinese for years and never found Chinese food for take out that came near to what we done. This surely does. The flavours and quality is excellent most enjoyable! Thank you so much ????
I ordered a Chinese Takeaway yesterday for the first time and I have to say it was so delicious! Me and my family enjoyed it. The roast duck, pancakes & trimmings is our favourite! Peter is very friendly & polite... Great delivery too to Sittingbourne. Highly recommend!
This belated review is for a visit in 2019. Although the pub was welcoming, I just had a takeaway Chinese. On getting it home, it was dripping in grease and smelled and tasted off. I love Chinese food but this was the only time I ever threw the whole lot away.
Run by lovely people ,nice staff and food is to die for ,very happy .

Wrong sauce was delivered ordered gravy and they delivered sweet and sour , also charged me for spring rolls when I didn’t even order them , plus side the Diet Coke tasted normal
Would NEVER recommend anymore. The owner is appallingly rude. Have not long moved here and used The George Inn quite frequently as it's technically our local. So much so, on Sunday I was going to book a table for a family birthday. NEVER will I step foot in the pub or restaurant again. Saturday evening my partner went to co-op and as it was very busy with cars he chose to park in The George Car park. Upon reversing he only described a car who immediately parked in front of his vehicle making him unable to move. My partner wound down his window upon a man intimidatingly walking towards him and asked what was up. The owner rudely asked "Are you going into the Pub" to which my partner honestly answered "No. He was going to co-op. The owner said "you're not parking here it's my pub" so the owner without actually knowing prior to asking, decided to intimidate and block my partner in. Now whilst the owner is right about it being his carpark and it's for customers only, he had absolutely no right to intimidate my partner by blocking him in when in actual fact for all he knew, my partner could have been a potential customer. We was and never will be again. The whole situation could of been handled a lot differently. Maybe in future change your approach and be less intimidating. You're a pub owner in a village not a bouncer in a club!
This was the first time we had used this Chinese. We were impressed. The food was very good and the young man that served me was very polite. Would recommend.
