Anniversary dinner, good food and great atmosphere.
Worth a special mention our Waitress, Willow who was excellent, friendly, very knowledgeable about the Menu, Cocktails & recommendations.
We ordered several tapas items between us and four cocktails.
Only minor gripe delay in Paella being served & ran out of mint tea.
Would recommend, especially the special offers available during the week.
Staff are kind and friendly (specially the manager Keith) food is lovely, such a wonderful atmosphere.
Now called elixir Oxton. Booking was straight forward and you need to leave card details to protect from no shows. Nice welcome and table. Service was great and quick. Food arrived in good time and was really tasty. Cocktails and corona on tap. Will definitely be back.
Visited The Courtyard for the first time today with my sister and our families lunch. We had to wait almost an hour for our food but this was to be expected on such a busy day but once it arrived it was amazing. Everything was delicious and so tasty. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Can't believe we have never been here before. We've already booked again for next Friday for a girls night out so that we can try the cocktails.
Fabulous as always . Food and staff brilliant. Cocktails are mmmmm
Got a great welcome and seated at table very pleasantly then it went downhill.
Over priced drinks. Staff chatting rather than serving and little taste to the dishes especially the meatballs whose sauce tasted of pureed tomato with no seasoning.
An overall average but the indentikit blonde pony tailed staff may look good but need to learn about service before gossip.
Came for Sunday lunch I ordered a veggie Sunday Roast option which was pretty disappointing compared to other places. My friend chose pork and got a massive portion and enjoyed his meal which was v good value. The service staff were v friendly and likeable but could maybe do with some more training. After we finished we were on a tight schedule and asked for the bill, we were told that they had another table for 12 (?)to prepare for,who hadn't arrived at this point so he started to prep that instead of getting our bill, after 15-20 mins we had to go bar and ask to pay. To expect someone to wait that long to pay a bill that took 30s to complete was ridiculous. Not to knock the staff that were on as they were v friendly just seems like a lack of training.
We went on a Saturday night and could see that it was very much a bar restaurant as most of the people in there were out for drinks and revelry, but the dining area and drinking area were pretty separate so it didn't feel like you were in the middle of someone else's night out.
Food was very nice and the service was good. When it says tapas style it means small plates rather than Spanish cuisine and some of the dishes were great (mini roast beef with Yorkshire puddings a definite winner). It is a little pricey, just shy of £60 for two including tip for tapas, dessert, soft drinks only, but I'd still go again.
