Truly stunning park.. FREE.. great for all ages. The gardens, grounds and old buildings are very well kept. There is parking free. Not so much so try to go on days not so busy. There is also a small cafe for drinks and food, or take your own and have a picnic. in the grounds there is a kids play area and also very nice duck ponds.
There was a Teddy bear hunt in the Priory.
Lovely open space to explore. Swings , ducks, bandstand, cafe, toilets, visitor centre, tennis courts.
Great park in Southend. They have wonderful wall gardens. Very quiet and amazing trees. It's a nice place just to stroll away and enjoy.
Winter work on paths so one exit blocked. The cafe next to the priory is a great place to bring your dog for a coffee (as it were!). The staff are very welcoming and conversations are easy to get into. Toilets nice and clean too. Rest of park is as well tended as funding allows. Very pleasant, even on a dull November afternoon.
A lovely place for a family day out. The bandstand concerts make for a fun afternoon. There's a children's playground, a cafe and toilets as well as a small free car park. Plenty of space for walking or a picnic. A nice park for all ages.
Wonderful park in the heart of Southend. The park has a heritage and interesting place in local social history and the Priory Museum / Old Hall are often open for visitors. There are extended gardens and hidden spots to enjoy as well as an amazing playground with zip line for kids (under 10 I'd say). Duck ponds, bandstand and a cafe serving Korean (!?) food!
