This place if your a regular usually gives you a warm welcome. I have often seen all staff take a particular interest in making parents and children comfortable. I am usually greeted with a smile and some memory of what I and my partner usually order. The cafe has that feel of a community cafe with its regulars and inside feels warm and inviting. I think even for a new customer the cafe would still be fairly inviting.

My favourite thing at this cafe is the fried breakfast, its is a decent size for the price and its one of the best full breakfasts I have had locally and I have tried a few at different price points. This is a typical English breakfast menu but there are no hard beans or really greasy food and the bread used is crunchy and fluffy. I have also enjoyed a bacon sandwich here. We have also tried poached eggs on toast, just toast, milkshakes and avocado on toast and all were great apart from the avocado on toast. The avocado on toast was a little hard and lacking in flavour but that is probably a seasonal thing. I have rated four stars on the food because although the food is good and well presented it isnt exceptional.

The inside of the cafe is exceptionally well maintained and spotless no matter the weather. The decor inside is well maintained and the feel of the cafe is neat and of good quality for the price point of the food. It is very clearly a well loved business and it is always at least half full when we visit so it seems popular too.

£8 for a ham and cheese omelette. I was looking forward to it but I ended up being disappointed by every part of it.

The beans part were too sloppy, too much sauce relative to the beans.

Half the chips I had to leave behind because they weren't edible they were the "back of the oven" chips which I would not serve to my customers if I owned a cafe.

The omelette itself was sloppy and seemed undercooked. The consistently of it didn't seem right and seemed like it needed to be have been cooked for a couple of minutes longer.

Very disappointed with my experience I hope that Mega Cafe can take on board my feedback to improve!

I always get a warm welcome from the guys at mega. Good service and a great, straightforward menu. They also do their best to come up with things that might not even be on the menu.

It's such a shame I used to come to this cafe every so often. However, I must look like someone that has caused problems in there before (I must add that I have a very recognisable face and have lived in the area for 14 years, and I have never seen anyone that looks like me around). The past 2 times I have been in here, I have had to explain I am not whoever they think I am. Today, in the end, they served me, but I felt very uncomfortable the whole time. (It was very clear they didn't believe me) I really wish I had just left in the beginning!! I definitely won't be going back. I think if you have banded someone from your shop you should make sure you know what that person looks like.

Popped in here while my car was having an mot. Polite staff, clean and friendly. However ! I ordered egg , bacon, tomatoes and 2 toast. What I got was 4 slices of a small tomato 3 very thin rashers an egg and toast that wasn't toasted. Please tell me how you can charge £1.30 for not even 1 tomato and £2.50 for 2 bits of bread ? Just pleased I didn't have a cup of tea. £8 in total. Much better cafés in Beckenham and Penge where you get value for money.

Love this cafe. Have never had any issues with anything I've ordered. To be fair they always go above and beyond my expectations. My son adores it aswell and loves the staff. Always friendly and helpful.
