I went here due to a friend's recommendation. They lady that does the pedicures does a really great job. Tiffany also did a great job on my acrylic set.
However, on all my other visits, I've somehow ended up with the older gentleman doing my acrylics/manicures. He does an awful job.
At first I thought it was because they were busy and he rushed. The second time though, he was in a rush, doing a sloppy job, and it wasn't busy.
The third time I called and asked to be booked with the person who could do the best job, because i was going to a wedding, and Tiffany would not be available that week. Needless to say I ended up with the older gentlemen again. I got a regular manicure in hopes that he would do a decent job on that, but no. If I did my manicure myself it would look better than what he did.
He's a nice man, but DONT let him do your nails. You will be disappointed.
My first time in was great. The next couple went downhill from there. They cut up my cuticles and did a very reckless job with the acrylics. Not to mention I don't walk out with what I ask for.
I couldn't explain enough that I wanted a stiletto shaped nail my second time.
As for the 3rd, I went in for a removal and they couldn't understand that I wanted my natural nails back and ended up just evening out the acrylics and left my polish covered in bumps.
I don't do the whole nail thing very much but still know quality when I see it, and this place isn't consistent.
If you go you MUST see Tina, there were 3 of us and I was lucky to get her. The other 2 attendants were jumping from customer to customer (ie trying to take on more work than they could handle). Tina spent much time massaging my feet, legs and hands and did a fabulous job. Although we all paid for the same service, there were steps that my friends did not receive. The storefront also reflected the fact they were trying to do too much as the store was a bit dirty. Again Tina is a MUST for your services
I recently moved to a new location a few months ago and was searching for a new nail shop. I’m the type of person that likes to stick to one shop and form relationships with the employees. After a bad experience at one shop I decided to give this place a try, since it’s right down the street from where I live and I have no been disappointed. Looks can be deceiving from the outside, it’s a small intimate shop, everyone is nice and listens to what you want and do exactly that. They don’t try to upsell you like some shops do and which I hate. I’ve gotten an acrylic full set with coffin shaped nails there and they were the perfect shape with none of them chipping or breaking. My last visit I switched to sns nails so my real nails can grow and be healthy and they did an awesome job! I can’t recommend just one person because they have all have worked on my nails and are all equally good! The prices are very affordable as well. $20 for a basic pedicure but I usually get that with the callous remover so it’s $25 and it’s $15 for a fill with regular polish, my sns nails were $40! I def recommend this spot!
I love this place! They did such a great job on out nails. I drive all the way from Maricopa just to get my nails done here. Highly recommend!
Came here by recommendation of a friend and I'm sorry girl but I'm not coming back. I came in for a full set and a pedicure. First, they don't use liners in the pedicure baths, which is gross. Sure the water is blue so they may use some antifungal chemicals but a liner definitely makes me more comfortable. Second, the tech who did my full set was very rough and cut me multiple times - to the point of bleeding A LOT. Then she continued to use the same drill filing tool with my blood on it and splattered blood everywhere. I didn't notice if she put it back with the other drill heads when she was finished but she certainly didn't make it look like she intended to clean it. On top of that my nails look horrid. Uneven, chunky, messy cuticles, etc. Normally I'll have them fine tune the nails until they look how I want but I honestly just wanted her to finish without further incident so I could leave. I'm sad that I paid money for these and just praying I don't get some kind of infection.
Some positive notes were that they give you a bottle of water and that they play something other than news or cooking shows on the TV. That's about it.
Everyone who works here is friendly and they all do a great job! The price is awesome too ! I will always go to Marvel Nails!
Awesome! I had them do acrylics: extra long and stiletto shape. He spent so much time making sure they were all well sculpted. I've also gotten pedicures here; you can't beat the quality for the price. I've had high-end pedicures that cost 3x as much but weren't any different from my experience here. I won't go anywhere else.
Tiffany does an amazing job making sure your expectations are met and that you receive quality service. They also play good quality shows & movies on their tv, not the generic day - time talk nonsense.
