Called the hotel to make a booking for a room as we planned to attend a Northern Soul evening. After approximately two weeks the money hadn’t come out my account even though my bank details were taken. I attempted to call on several occasions and either got no answers or a promise of a call back. My husband and I had booked time off work and I had bought myself a new outfit. When I finally managed to speak to someone I was told the hotel are no longer taking bookings as it’s now a venue for weddings and functions. The Hotel have said that it was the previous owners fault for taking the booking. I made the booking two weeks after the new “group” took ownership. I would advise anyone making a booking to make sure you get a contact number as they are not easily reached. Oh and don’t drive into their car park. Unless you have a token you won’t get out!! I don’t imagine the new owners will maintain a level of service that it’s patrons are used to.
Didn't stay just loving the new look so far haven't been here for many a moon. Decided to pop in for a spot of lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Food was lovely , spent alot of time talking and catching up with the staff and patrons . Staff were great and friendly and a very handsome young chap with a beard looked after us very well. Will be back .
Our daughter had her wedding at the Bothwell Bridge and what a day massive thank you to Armando and his team excellent from start to finish nothing was to much trouble. Venue was beautiful food and service were excellent can’t thank you enough. Would highly recommend
Recently taken over by new owners. New manager Andy is the main man and a man who believes in delivering qaulity. He knows the value off customer service
Family run hotel, very relaxed vibes and welcoming. The food is real and hearty. The staff are warm and accommodating. The rooms are standard but very clean, dont expect modern but I believe that reflected in the price point. Beautiful venue for getting married. I got married here in 2013 and since then it has been updated with beautiful led dance floor and twinkly lights on the ceilings. Quite stunning. Highly recommend!
The stairways halls and bedrooms are shabby but fine. The bathroom was nicely refurbished but the water pressure is really bad. The bar is nice and the conservatory dining room is lovely. The breakfast is excellent and the evening meal was very good.
The stars of the hotel are the staff. Warm, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is located centrally in Bothwell and is quiet and clean. Excellent value for money.
Unfortunately disappointed when we viewed this hotel as a potential wedding venue. We requested a show around and was given a time and date by someone over the phone. When we arrived the front gate to car park was shut so and there was one person in the building who knew nothing about it but showed us around anyway. The reception hall was lovely I have to say but the other rooms appeared a bit tired and dated. We were also shown a room which would have possibly been the honeymoon suite ? The room hadn’t even been cleaned from the wedding of the previous weekend ?! So unfortunately wasn’t given a good impression from the place
Stayed overnight for a family function. The Hotel isn't fully opened yet, and this showed at times. The rooms are a little tired. Special mention for Andrulla, she is an absolute credit to the Hotel. Lovely food and breakfast.
