This review is reflective of the new ownership and or new staff and management.

When I first started shopping there the owners were very unfriendly. They also had stereotypical urban/(black people music)music playing with explicit lyrics ( the music they think we all listen too). The typical following you around the store, cold blunt responses and speaking around you to there fellow coworkers in there language that felt like they were talking about you.

Now the staff are much friendlier. The store seems to be well stocked and the music has changed. Now I enjoy going there were at first I was contemplating solely purchasing beauty supplies online to avoid this place.

I will say the prices are a bit expensive ranging from a $2 difference all the way up to $10, $20 differences on a majority of the products compared to pricing online or in other stores. I like that they have a rewards program but they never seem to remind or encourage you to use it.

All in all I still shop there and it still needs a little more work. I'd like to see more selection in newer hair pieces, and even a presale or ability to order something with them and pick it up at the store. But mainly that they learn to be open and more inviting to the very community that keeps them in business.

I think there is new owners. Been here twice in the last couple of months. They treat you like a straight criminal from the moment you walk in the door. They didn’t kick me and my 73 year old mother out . But they will follow and literally stand and watch you. They don’t try to hide it either. If you don’t mind giving your money to an establishment that doesn’t even try to hide what they really think of you. This is the perfect place for you. Otherwise go to the black owned hair store and help build them up so these places are no longer needed. I will be shopping at the black owned store and using Amazon. No thanks!

After reading comments maybe it's not new owners. It's been a couple years since I've been in here. Been in here 3 times the last couple of months thought it was just me. Last straw was when I was with my mother.

I come here often and the last experience here I came to buy a wig. I was looking at the wigs trying to decipher which I wanted then we one of the workers kicked me out? Am I not free to shop here? All they do is take your money but will give you no respect

They have no problem taking "our " money. The ones that keep them in business. But they have poor customer satisfaction. I tried to return unopened braiding hair to exchange for a different color not refund and they refused to do so since I had no receipt. Which if I spending more and the packaging is not tampered with this should not had been a problem.

It always has almost everything I need, but then I'm never looking for anything too hard to find. Customer service is great there, the staff is always polite, friendly, and respectful. I was surprised at the other reviews because they Are always super friendly to me...but then again ...I've only encountered a young girl (late teens or early 20s I think) and a man, never an older woman. Slightly overpriced, hence the 4 stars
