It’s a busy road that hosts Aldo’s with car parking all around in the streets surrounding. The restaurant is clean, my food (a black pudding supper) was cooked freshly and the staff were helpful. There was a lack of warmth in the place with no customer engagement. The delivery driver seemed very at home though. The black pudding was not ideal - cut in half then two halves battered - changing entirely how the dish ought to taste. The meal was served in a printed cardboard box which is the fashion now, I know that, but do we really need this level of extra packaging? A good experience, but there are better in the area.

Use to love this place, but recently the battered chicken comes split up and in 3 separate boxes. I don't get it tbh. Use to be the best battered half chicken with chips wrapped in chippy paper ever. Now it's in loads of boxes and cut into bits. Loads of other stuff in boxes and multiple boxes too now. It's a chippy. Wrap it in paper and send it my friends!
I’ve ordered lots from here and started ordering regularly again however I called the cafe last night as my food was 30 mins late. Young sounding girl answered the phone and asked me to repeat my order twice, to then say “it’s not here” no follow up from that so I asked “where is it then”. Had the absolute audacity to laugh at me then hang up ????????. My partner was sat next to me and took my phone to immediately call back to which another female answered and said the order just left a few minutes ago and quite clearly made a lie up on the spot about prank callers and apologised for the other girls call.
I wouldn’t normally bother but I was very hungry and heavily pregnant. Perhaps the owner could brush up on some of the employees customer service skills? I couldn’t fully enjoy my food after that.
Unfortunately that’ll be my last order from Aldo’s which is a shame as it’s one of the few places that sell fritter rolls.
Immature, unprofessional and rude.
Always like chippy chips to go wirh a take away Chinese sweet and sour.
A large bag of chips £4 !!!
Shocking price and portion wasn't large!!
Chips bit of a disappointment,
nothing special :-/
Would strongly suggest that you go elsewhere. Food was bland, greasy, and had no salt and vinegar despite requesting that plenty be added; specifically after noticing staff were not adding any to other orders. To make matters worse, the chips had a sliver of cheese and a dribble of curry. How they get away with charging extra for this is beyond me! Don’t spend your hard earned cash here.
No organisation in the shop. Don't seem to know who is/has been served. Food was ok but not as good as it used to be. Order wasn't right despite confirming what I wanted twice. Already home by the time I realised so no point going back.
Very disappointed in the chips and fritters at Aldos tonight also charged £2 for red Kola the Kola never arrived will be calling the chippy tomorrow
I can only assume Karen wasn't working

Bought two fish suppers and a sausage in batter supper. Fish was the best I'd had in a long time and my son enjoyed the sausage. Staff were very friendly. If I lived 200 miles closer, I'd make this my favourite local!
