Absolutely disgusting!!! And how does this place have ANY good reviews?
Wife decided to get a chippy tonight as a 'treat' after work but it was far from!
The fish looked huge but it took around 20 seconds to eat the entire lot. It consisted almost entirely of very soggy, spongey greasy batter. I've never known a chip shop be incapable of cooking fish. The picture I have attached is from ONE fish- and is a full size dinner plate would you believe. It is horrific how much batter was there with such a small amount of the product actually paid for.
I feel like we have been completely robbed and not even sure how they can serve this. Thankfully we will use our usual chip shop in future as they are superior on every level.
By nice menu. Kebab meat and chips.....my fave. Kids specials are great and my granddaughter loves the fish bites. Been tonight as a birthday treat for her.

Won’t be ordering again.man went to wrong address. Food was lukewarm. Fish batter was soft never seen a piece of cod looking like a crabs claw and undercooked peas were watery with no flavor. The bin has had more than I did. Totally dissatisfied. Think I deserve a refund as I am now cooking food for myself when I thought I was having a night off. £10 wasted and as a pensioner it was supposed to be a treat.
First order tonight with delivery status.... FIRST CLASS FOOD...HOT TASTY PLENTIFUL...

Had a kebab and fish and chips. Absolutely faultless in every aspect. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent, and the food lovely. Best in the area, well worth trying. I won't go anywhere else.
My wife and I were late back from and outing and couldn't be bothered cooking. Most of the chip shops round by us now seem to close between 9-9:30! Even on a Friday night!
Fortunately for us The Rock Fryer was open. Service was very pleasant and quick. Food was good and prices were around average for this area.
