Been going to the lion years at this point, the bar staff are on point, the enviroment is excellent and the live acts on a weekend definitely bring even more life to the place, would absolutely reccomend for any rocker that loves that welcome feeling
Pre-match drink, always a warm welcome. Regulars and strangers alike. The staff are friendly and the beer is well kept.
No frills real ale pub with live music. Don't be afraid to talk to the locals, they may look like the crew of the black pearl but they're genuine people.

It's a great place to hear up and coming groups When I was in my 20s and 30s I used to be my favourite pub because of all the brilliant music on the jukebox
Great bar, live music, fantastic atmosphere, in a well lived in environment. What's not to love!
Like rock music? THIS is the spot. A tidy little pub with ridiculously terrific atmosphere. Loved it every time we've been here
