Best PlaceJuice Reviews

The Haven is cracking fish and chip shop run by characterful people. We ordered the children's fish bites (4 fish bites) with chips and a drink for £3.80 for two & fish, chips and mushy peas for two with two bottles of water for just over £26 and it was lovely. Really fresh, great, flaky cod in lovely golden batter and every bit got demolished by our kids. Will go again next time we're in Lytham.
Called in at lunchtime following a recommendation and they were right!! Decent-sized fish (and that was just the regular!), lovely batter and proper chippy chips all freshly cooked and piping hot. It doesn’t get any better!
Excellent value for money, generous portions and fish is cooked fresh. We had regular cod which was massive. Curry sauce was very good. Bit old fashioned but who cares if the food is great.
We dont live locally and ive tried getting in contact with the shop directly, however, the shop has been under new management for a couple of months and the phone line is disconnected. We had fish chips and a drink on Friday, one of the cans of pepsi max we bought had a Best Before End of 2014. The taste was awfull. It does make me wonder if the have any other problems with BBE dates on anything more serious. Service was pretty slow and poor tbh. But food tasted ok. Be aware!
Food was nice, the decor is like going back in time which I found quirky. There were two other tables occupied and it was deathly silent. Had fish, chips and gravy.
Excellent fish and chip shop with cosy sit in restaurant. Food freshly cooked and piping hot. Friendly staff. Brilliant value for money. Will go again
This used to be a great place and I loved getting my food from here, sadly though as nice as the new owners are the quality of the food just isn't the same, seems like the prices have increased but portion sizes are smaller which is a shame as this was my go to place ☹️
Уютное и классное ресторан/кафе, название соответствует меню! Много вариантов рыбы и к рыбе картофель! Все попробовали, все понравилось!

Customers appreciate the taste and generous portions. 2. Good value for money: Reviewers note that the prices are reasonable, with one example of a children's meal and a meal for two coming in at just over £26. 3. Cosy and characterful atmosphere: The Haven is described as a cracking fish and chip shop run by characterful people. The decor is mentioned as quirky and going back in time, which adds to the overall experience. 4. Friendly staff: Multiple comments mention the friendly staff at The Haven, contributing to a positive dining experience. 5. Varied menu: The Haven offers a wide variety of fish options, as well as sides such as chips and gravy, catering to different preferences.
Weaknesses of The Haven: 1. Inconsistent service: One customer mentions that the service was slow and poor. While this is just one comment, it indicates that there may be occasional issues with service quality. 2. Contact difficulties: A customer mentions that they tried to reach out to the shop but found that the phone line was disconnected. This could be seen as a lack of communication or accessibility on the part of the management. 3. Old product with expired Best Before End (BBE) date: A customer found a can of Pepsi Max with a Best Before End date of 2014, suggesting that there may be some issues with quality control and checking expiration dates on products. 4. Changes under new management: One comment mentions that the food quality and portion sizes have decreased since the change in ownership. This suggests that the new owners may not have maintained the same standards as the previous ones. 5. Limited seats and silence: One customer mentions that there were only two other occupied tables and that the atmosphere was deathly silent. This could be seen as a negative aspect for customers looking for a livelier dining experience.
In conclusion, The Haven has several strengths that make it an enjoyable place to visit for fish and chips. The fresh and delicious food, good value for money, cosy atmosphere, and friendly staff all contribute to its appeal. However, there are some weaknesses to consider, including occasional issues with service, difficulties in contacting the shop, a case of expired products, changes in food quality under new management, and a potentially quiet atmosphere. These weaknesses should be addressed by the management to maintain the overall positive dining experience at The Haven.
