Best PlaceJuice Reviews
Visited recently because we had our dog with us. They are dog friendly so you can sit inside and have a meal. They serve a doggy dinner which was a big bowl of mash and meat with veggies for ruben, he loved it.
We had starters and mains and couldn't fault it! Ir was the best meal we have had in a while! Taste is so lovely and all freshly prepared! Not the usual you get these days. It was on the pricey side but worth it as a one off ever now and again.
We will deffiantly be returning and so glad we visited as it always looks shut. Ring in advance and check for availability.
Hats of the the staff and chef they were very lovely and clearly take pride in what they do.
After recommendation from a friend booked The Fox and Hound for my mums birthday lunch, WoW Amazing Food, cooked to order, fresh tasty, very filling, the staff were so very nice friendly and attentive to our needs
100% will be going back
Nice clean place. Food was freshly cooked and tasty
Service was great.
Lovely place. We came here once before. The food portions are large, the food is good & the price is fare. It's just off the main drag (A1M). The beer isn't too bad either.
Called in as a last minute option, as the kid was hungry. Did call and book a table just in case. Which is a good job as the first thing we were asked is "have you booked?" not sure why as there weren't anymore than 6 or 7 tables the entire time we were there.
The food was okay, kind of what you'd expect from a pub nothing special.
We had:
Garlic pizza bread to nibble, asked for no cheese or tomato as the kid isn't a fan.... We must of somehow asked for extra extra garlic as what we got was a small (7" max) circle of overcooked dough with so much garlic I never have to fear vampires again.
Pork Belly, to which the wife said was nice but the red cabbage with cinnamon was more cinnamon with red cabbage and the mash potato needs to be cut with a knife. The sauce was delicious apparently though.
Steak pie, as you'd expect from a low end pub meal, nothing spectacular. The star of the show SHOULD have been the triple cooked chips....... Skin on chips would describe them best. For me, a triple cooked chip is light and fluffy with a crisp outer, not a soggy skin on chip.
Kind had buttermilk chicken breast and chips (which were the same as my triple cooked chips so.....).... To describe the chicken more accurately go and Google bird's-eye chicken fingers.
Desserts were okay. Sticky toffee with custard. Orange brownie with ice cream, kids brownie and ice cream (same as the orange brownie).
Overall super disappointed with the food, over £70 for low end pub food in my opinion.
I would have let the waitress know this IF they could have been bothered with a check back to see how we were getting on.
To be honest l, any level of service would have been appreciated, no check back, took an age to order (did get an apology at the start for that) ages to clear after each course and took the Micheal trying to order puddings, to the point I got sick of them wiling tables around us, and asked to order to which I recieved "yep, bear with me". Sorry I've already waiting 10 minutes to order and now you want me to wait until its convenient for you? Poor.
We left a tip, purely because the kid made a mess and was running around like a little...... But then again when he's sat waiting for an age for stuff to come and be cleared who can blame him?
Overall, really really poor and not what it used to be.

Service was at its best due to the time we had to wait. The queues are bad enough, plus waiting for food after ordering was quite await, 15mins from joining queue before we enjoyed our coffee and snacks.
The staff6 definitely need more space as they are on top of one another behind the counter no room.
The staff are forgiven not their fault.
The seating area is nicely spaced so your not on top of other people's conversations
Friendly, professional, and helpful staff. The meal was second to none. Freshly cooked to perfection, and the place was extremely spotless, and Dog friendly. My only tiny point I should say, are the seats are heavy and deep, making them difficult for certain people to move.
Amazing food. Good size meals. Staff are friendly and smiley. Not a bad word to say. Come away in a food coma.
