Always a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are really welcoming. Great drink selection and good food. Lovely views from the front and rear beer garden. Muddy boot's and paws are welcome.
we arrived 1:15pm on thursday, not many customers. the meals were value for money. the steak and kidney pudding and catch of the day (haddock) were good. the lamb tagine may be spice for some people. the special starter belly pork in teriyaki sauce was OK, it would be better with more pieces of belly pork.
Easy parking. beautiful view around. Nice food. really pleasant staff.a good pint to be had.very much worth a call in.
i can't explain how nice it is.
Excellent Pub, was able to fit us in, 4 adults, baby and 3 dogs. Fast service, food was really good, polite staff, really lovely place. Dogs got a treat, even my blind dog. We will stop there again when we are in the area. Also beautiful views.
Great pub which serves the best pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord for miles. Lovely friendly staff and locals. They serve great home cooked food and even do afternoon tea. Dog friendly too. Well worth a visit. Great views across the valley
A pub with a view! Great views out over Cawthorne. Decent size car park and the pub is surprisingly roomy. Beer was well kept. Food is good too and worth trying. Staff efficient.
We came upon the Cherry Tree by chance - there was a power cut at the restaurant we were booked in at and we drove round looking for an alternative. It is on a steep hillside so there is a lovely view from the front of the pub which you can sit and admire in the summer. Inside is cosy and welcoming and the staff are great. The food was ok but not special so this is a good place for people to meet up for a drink and a bite to eat at very reasonable prices.
Wouldn't recommend this pub for food, especially if you are gluten free, and even if I wasn't celiac the Sunday lunch was one of the worst I've ever had. We asked over the phone what was GF for the Sunday lunch, we were told it was just the Yorkshire pudding that wasnt gluten free but everything else was GF, it turned out when we got there we couldn't have the mash or cheese sauce or stuffing and there was no other alternative for us...the veg was frozen, the roast potatoes were soggy and the meat was from a packet of sliced meat, the lump of chicken was beyond dry....I'm rating this a one and this is being kind. Would not recommend, especially if you are gluten free
