Got a gel mani. I don’t love it. They applied only 2 coats of gel. In only a day and a half, it’s already chipping, and if you look closely, you can see the color of my nail through the gel polish. They made me dry under the fans, which is unusual for gel. They made me get up and wash my hands in the sink after filing. They did not rub my hands or shoulders when we finished. I’m a straight guy, so maybe they thought I wouldn’t really care, but it’s clear that I will not be returning.
They are awesome. Daniel does great work. I recommend this nail salon.
I’ve been using this nail salon RELIGIOUSLY since I was 14 years old and I’m now 22. It’s been 8 years and I have not a single thing I can complain about. I usually get very simple nails, either acrylic French tips, pink on white French tips, gel manicure, or full set with gel color. But today, for MDW I wanted to try something a little more decorative or festive. So I wanted to put an overlapping gold, blue, and silver star on my nails to represent soldiers who have fallen, served, or were injured. I should them a photo of what I wanted using Snapchat stickers LOL and they definitely came through! I highly recommend this place for fair prices and outstanding nails. (DEF make a reservation - they’re quite busy).
Great salon with very professional workers. I have been coming here since I was 14. Jackey and Leon are still there and do great work, and Daniel is great with the designs!! I love this place and will not get my nails done anywhere else. Even when I moved to the city I still come here for my nails. I ALWAYS get so much compliments!!
Also, I DISAGREE with those saying that the workers are rude/unprofessional.
My brother's girlfriend took me to get our nails done for my birthday, and she has a disability where she can't move one of her hands in a certain way. I explained to the tech working on her, and they were so sweet and accommodating with her, Even had a second tech come help out, and her nails looked FANTASTIC!!
Not sure how this place has these many stars, but it was honestly one of the worst nails salon I’ve been to. And not because of their nail service, I would overlook that, it was their attitude and lack of friendless. My aunt, mom and myself went there at our appointment time and no one even acknowledged us. No hello, but rather rude stares. After few mins, I finally told them I had an appointment after which we were told to be seated. The nails basket to pick color was passed along and never actually handed to any of us. My tech nor my aunts or mom even spoke to us. It was really awkward honestly and I couldn’t wait to get of there soon enough. Needless to say, will not return.
I’ve been looking for a good nail salon and thought I found one coming here, however!!! My first time going my nails were a bit wide at the tip but I was ok with them for the price. I went back last week (12/19/19) for a fill-in and left happy. I went to a different person who fixed the shape and did a great job. Flash forward to (12/25/19) less that a week later and one of my nails break in half. I called (12/26/19) and let them know the nail broke and I was coming to get it fixed. The guy that originally did them wasn’t there so I went to another guy who said it would be $3 to fix which I objected to since I got them done there and they broken less than a week later. They went ahead and fixed it but he was so rude. He basically slapped the nail on, barely shaped it, slapped on one coat of paint and sent me on my way basically. He kept pushing and pulling my hand in the direction he wanted it to go and kept waving at me to do things. When he asked me to go wash my hand he waved me away which I thought was very rude. He put my hand into the UV light and just walked away. When I was done I just walked out. The only reason I’m giving 3 starts is I like the guy that did my fill-in even though one broke but I will not be back!
I decided to go here today since my regular place does not take appointments on Sundays and I did not feel like waiting. I walked in without an appointment and was seated right away. The girl did a wonderful job on my nails even if it did take an hour. I requested her to cut my nails a little shorter since they were long. She didn’t cut them short enough for me but then again that was my fault I should’ve told her to make them shorter.
All in all the place can use a good cleaning the tables were dirty the mirrors were dirty and being that they had the front door and the back door open there were flies all around. The price is very reasonable and I would definitely go back there again. The lack of cleanliness is the reason for the four stars instead of five.
The woman doing my nails ripped off my dip powder with cuticle cutters instead of just soaking them like every other nail place I’ve ever been to. I told her it hurt and she said absolutely nothing and kept going. Three hours later my manicure doesn’t look bad but I am in a ton of pain it felt like some sort of cruel and unusual punishment. Will absolutely never go back and mad at myself for not having the guts to get up and walk out the second she viciously pulled at my nails with the cutters.
