Wonderful place. Always friendly staff and the place looks stellar after its recent renovations, would 100% recommend.
Given the location of the store, you would think it would be the flagship in Lincoln. However this is such a poor experience, I have vowed to use Costa or Nero instead from now on. I used to love Starbucks but the overall experience in them these days is appalling. This particular store had disgusting toilets with a broken seat, no decaf coffee and yet again staff got my simple order wrong. Time after time the staff make mistakes and they seem to be new every time I visit. Sorry Starbucks you've lost a regular customer of nearly 30 years. Parking is plentiful but you have to drive right around the carpark to get to the store. Front doors also left wide open on the coldest days. This store also seems to be filled with young mums and prams ordering food and holding up simple coffee orders.
Nipped in for breakfast and a coffee, food was nice. Fast and friendly service.
Met a friend for a couple of coffee's, coffee tasted great but felt it would have been much better if it was hot instead of warm.
Apart from that it was a pleasant enough visit.
I don't know what has happened to this store as the staff used to be really friendly and helpful when you needed assistance. Now some seem to be rude and dismiss helping you. I tried to order through the app but it wasn't showing if it had gone through or not. The staff member who had been clearing tables said they would go ask. I waited 5 minutes. and saw him back to clearing tables. I asked if he had an answer and he said he didn't ask. Having spent 20 minutes trying to get the app to work I was really frustrated but more so at being ignored. I used to be a daily visitor when I worked nearby but a change of job ment I was nowhere near so popping in is a real treat. Not so today. I am really deflated and felt a nuisance. Luckily or unluckily the order didn't go through. I thought it might be my signal so tried to access the WiFi but this wasn't working either.
Having visited Smyths it was rude not to pop in. Not hern to Starbucks for a while as the last visit wasn't very nice.
The place looked like it had recently been refurbished. Lovely clean tables and floor.
Caramel macchiato was lovely as was the croissant. My little one thoroughly enjoyed her brownie.
I will visit again.
Still second to Costa though but I must I love the caramel macchiato ❤.
got a coffee while i was out and the milk look curdled or was full of limescale but didn’t notice until i was back at my flat when it had settled while i was putting things away and couldnt drink anymore once i noticed. absolutely disgusting, never using again
I felt staff could at least smile when greeting you and be a bit more welcoming. I thought staff were very abrupt and lacked basic manners. I visit this particular Starbucks regularly but after my last visit I won't be calling in again....sorry, the staff didn't make me want to return.
