I’ve been going here for a few years now. I usually have someone new each time I go in. My brother was getting married last October so I wanted to get a haircut a few days before the wedding. The stylist who cut it this time was Kelly. She did such an amazing job that every time I go back there, I always make sure to get Kelly. She’s always super nice and sweet. She always asks how I’m doing as well as the rest of my immediate family. I’m very particular with my hair and what I like about her, she is very meticulous and thorough; she never rushes anything. Even for a basic haircut like mine, she always takes her time to make sure it’s perfect to my pleasing. I will always go back because of her :)

I am not the type to leave bad reviews — in fact, in a lot of cases I’ll leave GOOD reviews when I can. However, I am beyond frustrated after having walked out of this barber shop. I’ve been growing out my hair for a couple of months, and was planning to grow it out a lot more — getting trims here and there to shape it up; which was what I went in for today.

The barber asked what kind of haircut I would like. I said just trim it, to shorten the sides a bit but leave the top long. He immediately grabbed an electric razor and started shaving the sides. I thought that maybe my instructions weren’t quite clear enough and shrugged my shoulders, thinking it was no big deal that I rock a shorter hair cut again. But then he just kept cutting and cutting.

When he got to the top, he asked how much he should cut off. I said to cut off as little as possible, and leave it as long as possible. He held up about an inch of hair and said, this much? I said sure, and he kept going. But then he began cutting shorter and shorter.

The sideburns are uneven and not blended. I look like I have half a bald spot behind both ears, and the crown of my head is shaped like an egg. I unfortunately have to walk around like this all day tomorrow until the evening when I will HOPEFULLY be able to get this fixed.

I hate to say it but if I could leave 0 stars, I would. Terrible haircut.

At the very least, the people who worked there were nice.

Kelly cuts my hair every two weeks and does an excellent job each time! Been going consistently for months now and she does a great job each time. Highly recommend!

Mike just cut my hair and did a fantastic job. it's the little details that count. like the hot towel on your neck, the lotion on your neck. the ear hair trim. Will definitely be returning. hat was my first time there as I'm from out of state. If you want an old school barber feel definitely check out Rose Hill Barber shop.

My husband took our son here to get his hair cut. He had about an 1.5 inch wide strip from front to back that Kelly (supposed to be owner) left on him that was 2 inches longer than the rest of his hair. I took him back and her answer was just comb his hair over to the side and its fine. I said no fix it correctly like you should have done in the first place. I will never go back to a place that sees they messed up and then the first response isn't oh my let me fix that so sorry it happened no they want you to live with what they did and leave them alone cause they already got their money.

I go to Rose Hill Barber Shop every two weeks. Kelly is my barber and she does an amazing job. All other barbers are great at what they do as well. Definitely recommend you give this place a try. If you are military, they also offer a discount. ????????

I have been going here for almost 7 months now and have always had an amazing haircut from the owner, Kelly. Very welcoming and excellent service. I would recommend this barber shop over any other barber shop in the DMV area.
