Quick Facts About New York Style Barber Shop

The New York Style Barber Shop has received a mix of positive and negative comments, highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses. In order to provide a comprehensive analysis, let's delve deeper into each aspect mentioned and evaluate its impact on the overall customer experience.
Strengths:
1. Professionalism: One customer commended the barbers for their professionalism and expertise. They demonstrated a strong understanding of the customer's needs and delivered a satisfactory haircut without requiring detailed instructions.
2. Skillful line work/shape-up: Another customer praised the barbers for their precise and clean lines, particularly in shaping up the hairline. This attention to detail contributed to a positive experience.
3. High recommendation: The positive experience of one customer led to them referring the barbershop to others, indicating a high level of satisfaction and potential for building a strong customer base.
4. Straight razor expertise: The barbershop excels in providing straight razor cuts, which are highly sought after by customers. Although there may be a wait, the quality of the service justifies the extra time spent.
5. Loyal customer base: The barbershop has successfully retained long-term customers, some of whom have been visiting since childhood. This indicates a certain degree of consistency and trust in the establishment's services.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of attention to detail: One customer's dissatisfaction stemmed from the barbers' inability to accurately replicate the desired hairstyle from a picture. The uneven sides, non-straight hairline, and unblended back of the head indicate a lack of precision and attention to detail.
2. Price-to-quality ratio: One customer felt dissatisfied with the price tag, given that the quality of the haircut did not match the cost. Though the shape-up was commendable, the overall cut did not justify the higher price compared to other establishments.
3. Inconsistency in service: The negative review from a loyal customer revealed a decrease in quality over time. The customer highlighted issues such as unprofessional behavior, lack of adherence to COVID-19 protocols, and consistently cutting the hair too short.
4. Communication barriers: A customer had a negative experience with a female barber due to a language barrier, resulting in a botched cut and cuts on their neck. This incident suggests that the barbershop may benefit from addressing communication issues and ensuring that all barbers can effectively understand and meet customer requirements.
In summary, the strengths of the New York Style Barber Shop include professionalism, skillful line work, high recommendations, expertise in straight razor cuts, and a loyal customer base. However, the weaknesses include inconsistent attention to detail, a mismatch between price and quality, inconsistency in service, and potential communication barriers with specific barbers. Addressing these weaknesses will be crucial for the barbershop to maintain and improve its reputation and customer satisfaction levels.

My first time getting a hair cut outside of Philly, so let's say this, I would drive 45mins to go to these guys and get my hair cut. They don't mark you up like Philly they are professional and know what they are doing. They are so good for my first time visit I only had to give a short idea of what I want and it was done.????????????????????????????????????
I literally showed them a picture and they still didn’t get it right. Sides weren’t even. Hair line wasn’t straight. Back of my head wasn’t faded at all
I showed up later in the day, and got a cut from the front barber. He was cool, and his line work/shape-up was pretty good, but the cut itself was sub par. My hair is curly, so forbest results you need scissors, but he just free handed the clippers. I have no problem with that if it comes out right, but it came out a little uneven. The shape-up was good enough that I would have given 4 or 5 stars, but the $30 price tag (with no added amenities and not including tip) brought it down to 3 stars. Its hard to say if I would come here again, when I can get cuts just as good for about half the price.
Awesome Barbers nice clean lines, they take there time highly recommend going here! Thanks Roberto for doing such an amazing job on my son's hair! You guys have two new clients!
There is usually a wait for the guy who does a straight razor, but well worth it. I take my 6 year old there for his hair cuts. They take their time and its always an amazing haircut.
We love this place!
I have been a loyal customer to this place since I was ten years old - I am now seventeen. I will never be going back to this place ever again. Here are my reasons why.
1. They do not follow COVID-19 protocols whatsoever. There is not a requirement for a mask, no one inside is wearing a mask. Their business is endangering their customers.
2. They are generally unprofessional. Many. many times has my barber been in the middle of my hair cut, and then stops to talk to one of his coworkers. While I am sure their conversations are meaningful, it's still disrespectful to the paying customer.
3. They always, ALWAYS, cut my hair too short. This is a little more subjective but in my experience, I've always had to wait a week for it to grow back to something I like.
Over the years, they have also increased their prices without an increase in quality. Haircuts used to be around $15, and are now around $20. Nothing has improved to make it worth the extra $5. The only person who can give a decent cut is the owner, Wandi. No one else really cares about their consumer as much as he does.
I will never be going back again. It's not the worst place ever to get a haircut, but it's endangering the lives of the consumer, and the quality doesn't not speak for the price.
Heard great things about the store. Had gone here once before and sat with one of the guys and had a great experience. Was here recently and got sat with female cutting hair. I didn’t think anything of it and figured it would be a regular good experience. Absolute language barrier to say the least. Turned my beard into a chin strap, and I woke up this morning with cuts all over my neck. Nothing is lined up correct, it was a bad experience and will never go here again.
