I got the impression this was a family restaurant. I went as it opened for breakfast and the tables hadn't been wiped down from the evening before.
I ordered an Arabic Breakfast & Lemon Tea.
The Lemon Tea was served in a Middle Eastern tea pot and with a small glass which was exciting, but the glass was suddy and so was my friends'. Considering the tea was from a tea bag there were bits floating in my drink. There was additional favouring to the tea but I didn't notice any small herbs. After seeing the dirty tables and tarnished and scrubby looking everything I didn't really want to drink much more.
For the breakfast, I wasn't keen on sloppy eggs and that put me off a little but overall it tasted good. I had to give the cutlery a good wipe with my napkin tho. The breakfast came with a large side of Pita Bread too.
I left feeling a bit like I needed a wash. It didn't feel a level of cleanliness that I would expect from a food place.
The food was presented well and the flavours all worked but overall it left a bad taste after noticing it was a bit of a grubby place.
Great little place tidy quaint traditional very friendly and luvly food
We had Egyptian breakfast. Food and atmosphere are lovely.
Absolutely fantastic food, so tasty with good quality ingredients. Best we have had in a long time. Would definitely recommend and we certainly will be ordering again. Thanks
Meal was delivered on time and was nice item missing when reported kept getting cut off on the phone by staff member when I reported imissing item and said it was ordered. Staff was very unprofessional at dealing with this request and was not concerned about me writing a bad review, would not order from here again. After ringing again was told my missed meal would be delivered waited and waited and never did receive my missing meal. We are supporting our local businesses in this difficult time and just getting ripped off
I am sorry you had to lair in your reply to my review. There were 3 members of my family sat in the living room when I made the phone call and I never swear once on the phone. Sorry you had to put this to make yourself look good. .
Lovely cosy interior and Egyptian theme which created a great ambience. Bring your own bottle/wine which is always a plus for when dining out. The menu has a lot of choice of vegetarian and meat starters, main courses and tagines. We choose a variety of veggie, cheese and meat dishes. The food was amazing and flavoursome served in quaint dishes. Great service, will definitely be returning to try other dishes and recommending to friends.
I had one takeaway. Maybe need to give it another try. Cous cous was not to my taste: too fine and not very aromatic. Chicken was tasty.. flatbread good. Chilli sauce very hot. Next time I'll try the lamb chops with baby potatoes.
A small friendly restaurant with great food. The staff here are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is great with good size portions but the service is a little slow, which I think is due to the fact the food is all cooked from fresh. I place i would recommend
