This past Saturday 2/18/2023, I went Kimmy Nail & Spa. I hadn’t been in a couple years and remembered they HAD good service. I went inside and to my surprise, it was not packed for a Saturday. I was told to pick a color for my pedicure/ dip powder and was seated immediately. The lady, whom I don’t remember her name, had the nail tools (nail file, nail clippers etc.) all laid out; when typically the nail tech opens them fresh out of the pack in front of you. First red flag. Second was that she kept cutting me cuticles despite me pulling away. As a result my cuticles are inflamed as seen in the photo. Third red flag was that she used this CLEARLY dirty brush to scrub my feet. That was my last straw. She painted my toe nails with gel polish and cleaned off the excess gel with another used brush. I let her finish the pedicure but decided not to get my nails done with dip. The owner was concerned and asked why. I showed him the picture of the dirty tools and he was adamant they they are sanitized. But the brushes clearly weren’t. Instead of trying to correct the issue right then and there, he stated that he would tell her to not use that brush and that either he or his wife would do my nails. Problem is she shouldn’t be using that brush to begin with! This salon has gone downhill. Avoid at all costs. The pain is not worth it.
I used to come here a lot for gel pedicures. I will never come back. And I would like a refund. I don’t know what her name was but she made my toe bleed so bad, I’m in horrible pain. Also got charged $20 for them to dip my hands in water file my nails and rub lotion if I knew that was a “manicure” I would’ve never agreed to it. Not only that she left the dust from filing all over my hands then massaged it into my skin with lotion. So disgusting. Also I never even got an apology for her making my toe bleed everywhere, instead she cleaned the blood wrapped my foot in towels and walked away. Also she left clear polish all over my skin on my toes. And when she removed my gel she used no acetone just a high speed burning hot drill that burned my nail bed. I would love a refund. And if I get an infection I’m suing. I’m so sad about this because I used to come here and get great service. $70 for injuries and lotion slapped on my hands I can’t even comprehend this. I was so shocked I didn’t even know what to say when they were done and I didn’t want to make a scene because it was packed and I wanted to be polite even though they didn’t deserve polite. I regret paying so much.
I strongly recommend everyone think twice about going here for your own physical health.
I was happy that they got me in when every shop was closed but be careful what you ask for. Honestly, the lady treated me like a child and was confused about what I wanted when I showed an exact picture of what I wanted. Besides that, the lady took my nail polish off by sanding down my nails and didn’t even trim my cuticles. She also didn’t paint the whole nail and when I asked she said it was fine. Not even a week later now my nail has chipped and peeled off because she was in a rush and only applied two coats to my gel polish. I will let the picture do the talking.
The gentleman and probably owner, was running around making sure clients were helped as well as walk ins with no appointment. His pedicures are awful. His management skills shine.
I always get my nails, pedicure, and eyebrows done a Kimmys. The services absolutely wonderful. They do a great job every single time. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and I’m yet to find better. Prices are reasonable and fair. Every Christmas the salon gifts their customers with free set of eyelashes or coffee set. I highly recommend this salon!
Came here randomly to get pedis with my girls because my salon isn’t kid friendly and was scared because my salon never disappoints with my pedis but this place exceeded my expectations! Not only did they take care of me but they took really good care of my girls (who are 5 and 9.) they had a small chair for my 5 year old too! They had drinks, gave the girls a lolly pop, customer service was top notch and the shellac came out perfect. 5 stars!!!
Great place, i would get my brows done here... does anyone know if kimmy went to anther salon?
I usually have an excellent experience here. Today, not so much. The lady who did my nails did a terrible job. 3 of my nails are crooked. Less than hour later the paint is chipping. Not considering the fact that there was a chip in the polish on the nail as she did it that she didn’t fix. Furthermore while she was in the process of doing my nails she just stopped, got on her 6-8 minutes without saying a single word to be. No hold on a minute, nothing. I visit here 2 to 3 times a month, I just don’t see myself going back.
