Laura is an amazing Deva Curl styling expert! The care with which she assesses curl patterns and the cut with the shape of my face is incredible. On my first visit, she filled in a laminated sheet she has with products used and the process to follow to achieve curly results at home, then had me take pictures with my phone so I could refer to them as I developed the habit of maximizing my curl styling at home.

Everyone with whom I interact here is friendly and knowledgeable. They even have a little boutique for shopping.

I'm so frustrated! I called JD Micheals and ask if anyone has experience with thick curly hair...sure they do! A specialist for 95 bucks. Really? I'm 57, I've always had thick curly hair, I've never ever needed a specialist! Anyways, instead I was given Tina. Sweet woman who cuts hair once a week! I go from a specialist to a barely there beautician (are they still called that?) After my cut, which I knew was not going to work, went home in hopes of being wrong. NOPE! The 2nd time around was worst than the 1st. My whole point is this, JD Micheals has a beautician that works once a week. Her name is Tina. Just be warned. It's not fair to charge $35 for a hair cut when you barely cut hair. How updated can you be? On your game? It definitely shows in my cut. I'm just putting this out there to help the next poor soul looking for a decent hair cut! 1st pic was the cut I had BEFORE JD Micheals, the others are after. #2 1st go at it. 3rd and others are her thinning it out at my request. I don't think she has ever thinned out hair before.

Fabulous salon. Kaylee is fantastic. Everyone is friendly. A full service salon. I truly highly recommend JD Michel.

I have had my curly hair cut many times, but Laura is by *far* the best curly hair specialist I have ever had. My curls are so healthy and the products she recommended are fantastic! Not to mention, she is super easy to talk to and made me feel like a regular :)

I have been coming to J D Michel for 23 years for my hair mees with Marianne. I love the staff, the atmosphere is always positive and I love how relaxing everyone is! Marianne does a wonderful job with my hair and I love her personality! She does great job with color, highlights, cuts and being a remarkable person!
