Update: Ileana has moved around the corner to a larger space. The new salon is bright, airy and spacious - see pics. I went early afternoon today (Friday) and I was in and out fairly quickly. They always do a great job and are reasonably priced.
1st review: The ladies do a great job here. But be prepared to wait as they don't take reservations and the shop is not very big. It's bright, clean and they keep folks moving. First come, first serve!
Ileana's Salon is a gem! I would like to say as special thanks to Maya! My daughter loved her hair cutt and style! Maya was amazing, taking her time and being so pacient with my daughter, who was a anxious about getting her hair done. You made her feel better! ❤️ My daughter has very coily hair, and after blow drying and with Mayas expertise, her hair looks amazing!
Did a walk in on Saturday and I only had to wait less than 10min to be seen which is amazing! They moved really quickly and we’re super professional. I got a wash and deep conditioning treatment with steam then sat under the dryer for 30min. Then blow dried, flat ironed and trimmed! I was in and out in 2hours!! Will be making this my regular place!
My favorite natural hair care salon. They’re really popular so it’s best to come early or later during the day. They’re all so professional and respectful of each client (I’ve taken my daughters one with 4c, coarse, high porosity, low density hair and the other with 4c coarse, low porosity, low density) and they loved their results. All of us have thick, natural Sandy brown hair, My hair is 3c/4a, high porosity, high density and my blowouts last about a month without having to use alot of heat or tie it up (wraps are ineffective for me since I sweat in my sleep at my roots). My hair texture hasn’t changed it’s actually improved and it grows back super fast considering as often as I cut my hair. Know or learn your hair type and hair needs in order to make sure this service is for and can work for you.
In 20 years never let anyone touch my hair but stylists I have worked with. Becuase my normal stylist was busy I decided to try Ileana salon because of reviews. Went to get a blowout, asked the owner if they could blow out 4c hair without putting chemicals in the hair. Owner assured me yes they could. The first time was great, however the second time I felt like they slipped a chemical in my hair. Owner states they did not and maybe it was from the heat, but either way hair should not be damaged with 2 visits. I am a hairstylist myself and do blowouts on my clients on a regular basis and my clients can interchange between silk press and curly without damage. I would not recommend this salon for 4c Hair people that actually like their 4c Hair. Now I have to cut my hair...uggghhh...I would like to add the owner did acknowledge that my texture had changed from my first visit and gave me a free treatment. I think the free treatment was acknowledgement of wrong doing.
Awesome service! I can't say how happy I am with the care and service I recieved today! Great stylists who are patient and so sweet! I will recommend all my friends and family!
Awesome Dominican salon with good prices and fast service. They take walk ins and we've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get started. Maya is who helps us every time and she is FABULOUS. Best wash and set job and a deep conditioning treatment with steam only costs an extra $15 which is totally worth it. You're hair will look healthy and rejuvenated when you leave. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry!
OMG!! I’m so in love with the service at Ileana’s. Everyone was so professional and Ileana has a love for making sure your hair is healthy. Not one time did I get burned or anything. I’m so grateful I decided to find another beautician after being treated wrongly. Ileana has now gained another satisfied and loyal customer. I highly recommend this salon.
