Fish and chips was excellent with really generous portions. Staff were super friendly. On a par with Tsang's, which was at the same location many years ago (about 1985 !)

5 ⭐️ I’ve been to some good chippys and majority around the Wirral are bad ones! All I can say is Helen’s Chippy is the Mecca of all Chip Shops at the moment in my opinion - freshly cooked chips, Fish is cooked nicely, but the Salt n Pepper Chips well they were like out there on planet Mars THEY WERE were amazing!! Me the wife and our little furry friend thoroughly enjoyed it (who had a couple of nice sausages bye) and we got some free chips thrown in as well, nice touch Helen thank you ???? go figure ???? ????????

First time ordering won ton soup tonight- fantastic, will be ordering this all the time Always cheerful ???? Always get what I ask for and the food I'm told is nice, if you are fond of chips this is the place, scollops and fish are very well cooked, I have never had a cause of complaint, totally recommended.

Want disgusting food? This is the place for you. Salt and pepper chips was literally a portion of chips with some chunks of raw white onion thrown on.

Ribs the meat had to be ripped off the bone.

Salt n pepper chicken wings, well was more like saliva an pepper, slimey and jelly like.

Duck looked like it had been in a blender.

Just avoid!

Excellent !! Great traditional Chinese chippy , great food at reasonable cost . The fish is especially good .

Total waste of money. The chips were really nice i have to say but also got a free portion of salt and pepper chips (we would have ordered something other than chips if we'd known....overload of chips haha). The Chinese meals however were thrown.

We know people that love this chippy so maybe it was a one off but after reading some reviews that doesn't seem to be the case. The sauces in them were all gloopy, glue like...thick, lacked in colour and most importantly flavour....the rice was nice though, just didn't eat it as no sauce.

So....to summarise...we ended up having a great chip butty but that was an expensive portion of chips !!
