The staff and service is always great (when you're able to get a cut) but this particular location has had issues with retaining staff for the last 2 years so the waits are long but somewhat understandable however the system they have in place for check-in is the biggest issue. Arriving at your time to an empty lobby being told your next and having 5 people arrive after you only to be told they're now ahead of you all because they checked in online before you is completely unacceptable. People that arrived in person at their scheduled time in lobby should be prioritized before your "check ins" arriving after their scheduled time. Respect people's time!

If you need a haircut in Yucca Valley go literally anywhere else. This place is never open. Even on weekends which you would think would be the busiest days. The owner even confirmed their hours only a few weeks ago yet they are closed on a weekend?! Not according to what they "confirmed." So they lied. This place cannot keep staff and have not been able to keep staff for a long time. I have now made 3 attempts to get a haircut after attempting to check in online and showing up when they should be opening. This place obviously going out.

Make sure you are extremely detailed when describing the haircut you want. Don’t let them start cutting even if your slightly concerned they didn’t understand. They will not go out of their way to make sure they understand so you have to be SPECIFIC. I’ve been getting haircuts at great clips for around 7 years now and honestly you just never know what your going to get from one stylist to the next. Unfortunately my last haircut at this yucca valley location was my last straw. The lady cutting my hair was a shorter older lady who absolutely butchered my hair. I told her exactly what I always tell every other stylist even pointing to the highest I want the fade on my head. Instead of a medium fade I got a super high and tight military style haircut. And it wasn’t even a good high and tight. She went all the way up with a number one blade and even arched the fade into the top of my head where I was supposed to have hair for a short combover. I ended up switching chairs because I didn’t trust her any further to try and salvage it. The lady who did try to fix it gave it her best and I am thankful for her personalism but it was beyond salvageable. I’m sitting here about almost 3 weeks later and I still can’t fix it because of how awkward it’s growing back in. I will no longer be going to this location and will probably stop visiting great clips all together. It’s just never consistent and every stylist messes with your haircut notes so it’s never the same. just remember if you go to great clips be EXTREMELY SPECIFIC and even then you will probably be disappointed.

I can't remember her name but this nice woman who listened and was patient made me feel and look absolutely amazing, she was so nice and talked and loved my idea for my hair including was just as excited at the end results as I was.. I recommend snd even bringing my oldest daughter to get her first haircut hopefully back to her

I like Great Clips. The stylists are friendly and give good haircuts. You also have the choice of reserving your place in line using the internet or you can just walk in and wait your turn. Best of all the price is right.

Fantastic cut. Great service. Online check in was fantastic, made it so I could get things done while also waiting in line for my haircut. Fantastic experience. Will be going back when I need a cut again.

Staff is incredibly rude. Tried to give them a chance on three different occasions, thinking maybe it was just that particular person at the time. Both in person and on the phone. Nope. Everytime someone rude. I have no desire to spend my hard earned money at an establishment that has absolutely zero value placed on customer service.

Usually when we get our sons hair cut it comes out great. Our son is 5 and does great with getting his hair cut so it’s not like he was moving or anything. This time was the worst haircut he’s ever gotten...thankfully he’s a boy and we can spike the hair and it’ll grow back fast, but we paid 13$ or something close to that for lines in his hair...not happy about that at all.
