Lovely and clean pub, with a separate small dining area. Nicely decorated. We've only visited once to eat, Sunday lunch. My husband and daughter really enjoyed their meals and want to go again. I like good home made thickened gravy and I like my roast potatoes fryed (after being boiled); so I didn't enjoy it as much as some other places we have eaten. Having said that, when we visited last week to book the table, the smell of the fried fish and chips was wonderful (the fish smelt really fresh). We will return, and we will definitely try mid week for the main menu.

Called in for an early drink last night and was delighted to discover that they were serving food so decided to give them a try. I am really glad we did! We had a lovely meal, really enjoyed our food. Jill the landlady is so nice, nothing is too much trouble for her. Looking forward to booking a Sunday lunch there very soon.

Seven of us booked lunch on Wednesday.A lovely welcome from Jill the landlady to a clean and tidy establishment. Tables already prepared for us.The Food was quick to arrive and presented beautifully and was delicious! A good choice of menu and sweets and a specials board..Staff very efficient and friendly.We will certainly go again. Thank you and hope all goes well.

Great night with the girls. We had food which was delicious. The landlady was great and kept checking we were OK and enjoying the food. The steak and ale pie was delicious. Would definitely go again. Lovely pub and great food.

Great service, lovely food. They've just been taken over by a lady called Jill, the lad behind the bar was brilliant, think he's name was Stu, really quick at serving us and really friendly. The Karaoke was brilliant as well, such a nice atmosphere!

Went here with our walking group last week, the new owner did our lunch early to accommodate us. Lovely home cooked food and very reasonably priced. Seemed genuinely thankful that we had enjoyed it even though she had done this for us.

Visited today with a group of friends as we’re staying locally. Very warm welcome, great selection of drinks and the loveliest staff. Topped off with great music & hearty food. Great pub!

Well if I could give no stars I would, I turned up for karaoke on last Saturday night only to find no karaoke even though it had been advertised. Last time I attended the karaoke at the grapes it was awesome and everyone had a great time, I was really looking forward to it. I find it disgusting that places can get away with advertising somthing and then not going through with it, its as if it's a selling tactic to get you inside, well it did not work with me I left immediately very disappointed and upset because my night out had been totally ruined.
