Use to enjoy this place but ever since ownership changed I have switched to a barber over half the price. When I first went to gq about 7 years ago it was $15 a cut and well worth it given the environment but the price has doubled and it’s lost that barbershop atmosphere and the owner now was actually an associate under the last owner and he is an Amazing barber but I think he rushes now to keep up being the last set of associates I seen were 100 pounds overweight and lazy.
We really loved this barbershop. I was a very calm mellow mood with a classic barbershop vibe. The line was long because he seems to have loyal customers but we didn't mind that. My sons first haircut was perfect. Thanks
The worst place ever . I drove 40 mins and I spoke to him before coming in the shop. The barber said I could come by when I got to the shop he said he’s too busy and he’s not gonna cut my hair today. Waste of time and gas .
The wait was long because I didn’t make an appointment but it was worth the wait. Best haircut for my sons in Carlisle.
Mex Da Barber hooked me up right. Instantly felt like family. Highly recommend. Family friendly atmosphere. Make you feel very comfortable.
My first time in PA on vacation, I decided to stop by at GQ barbershop in Carlisle. Where I meet dean, he did not disappoint! I got a great cut and he answered every question I had. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend him and stop by for a cut whenever I am in PA again.
I brought my son for haircut. 3 barbors on and it was obvious they wouldn’t rather play on phone or eat then work . My son waited while they screwed around 20 min before actually starting. Then took frequent screw around on phone breaks dragging a 20 min /30 min service out to over an hour . Regardless of the quality of cut I would not return. As a paying and generously tipping customer I don’t want to be treated like a hassle and made to waste my time so someone can eat and play on phone . All around frustrating experience of me wasting my time and my son being uncomfortable and frustrated as well . No problem with a barber taking time to do a good job but just completely disregarding clients time while you text is just over the top rude especially to a kid and considering mom is juggling toddler waiting for service to be completed. Once I said something and Barber actually focused on job 90% of the service was done in about 15 min . The quality of the cut itself was slightly below average and didn’t reflect the time wasted .
I bring my sons here every 4 to 6 weeks. All the barbers are incredible - creative, patient, and skilled enough to be able to handle diverse hair textures. Highly recommend.
