A bit disappointed. Portion sizes are pretty limited and not what you expect from a take away, picture the smallest size boxes you can get for take away (felt like a bit of a budget cut tbh) - we ordered 3 dishes + rice and it was only just enough for 2 people, definitely wouldn’t do a family. Egg fried rice was unusual and generally a bit tasteless. Not sure we’ll be back.
Up until this last takeaway, I would have said the food was excellent. However, this time, food was below par, egg fried rice with no egg, chicken balls, and chicken curry with a limited amount of chicken, so altogether dissatisfied and will no longer be using the Golden Star.
Superb food, great service. A family business that has served me for over 40 years. Cannot fault it.
Used to love this place about 5 years ago . First time iv ordered for years here. Was rubbish . The noodles were slimey and tasteless. Normally one portion of chow mein would easily do 2 people but this time no. Chicken balls were alright. Well disapointed to be honest
Excellent food. It was my first visit as used other Chinese takeaways in Leighton Buzzard. Must say the best Chinese I have had in a long time. I'm not surprised they are busy. And not over expensive. Highly recommended.
Sorry but this was the worst Chinese I've ever had! Weak sweet n sour sauce and the beef and onions was just 4 pieces of slimey beef and a hella lot of onions.....grim.
My first order from this local takeaway, very pleased with menu options, quality & quantity of food we received. Efficient & helpful service. Good value & will certainly be using again.
The owner is very welcoming, the western style Chinese food was nice, not great but at least the family enjoyed the meal. Its good to know there is at least one good catering business on this road.
