This is by far the best Chinese take away in the North East. Being in throckley it could be seen as a hidden gem that not many people know about but they have the most delicious Chinese food of any Chinese take away I have tried. The quality of the food is always consistent so you know you'll get amazing food every time. Highly recommend this place as there's nowhere else as good as this!

Had meals here for a long time every time the ordering is easy and polite everytime food is always very very good would recommend to anyone

Although we don't live in Throckley we're happy to travel as this is our favourite Chinese takeaway in the area. Food is consistently good and the staff are friendly, they show genuine interest in their customers.

This use to be the best Chinese I had eaten. Ordered chicken balls, fried rice, bean sprouts and curry sauce. 1 and a half hours for it to be delivered. The whole meal went in the bin. Chicken was like rubber, rice was dry, chips were disgusting. £18.80. What a waste of money.

First time trying golden house and it was lovely , food was made quickly and tasted great and staff were nice

Sweet n sour pork balls, fried rice, chips n curry sauce. Pork was horrid, and the fried rice was a mouth full of oil tasting rice. Disgusting tbh. Chips and curry sauce is quite difficult to get wrong, but tbh it was not very good. First and last time......

Gorgeous food. Staff are nice and friendly too. They won't deliver food very far as they don't want their reputation tarnished by cold food. I admired their honesty!.

Odered a simple chips and curry from here and the chips were not cooked and the curry was to thick. I was aked to bring them back and when i did i was told that there was no refund! Was told that id left the chips for too long? Was told that instead of collecting them in 10mins and leaving them for 20mins that caused the chips to be hard? Used to be a regular but not now.
