We ordered through Door Dash as there weren’t anything but National Chain pizza places that would deliver to us.
Pizza came in under an hour as stated. It was honestly delicious! I would order again for sure!
Pizza 1: Pepperoni and Green Pepper
Pizza 2: Mushroom, Onion and Green Pepper

This was my husband and my first time dining here. The service was excellent. The waitress was spot on and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. You could tell it was freshly made. It is worth the price we paid for our meal. I wish I could remember the name of our waitress as she was very sweet.
Last night we returned to this restaurant which is under new owners. We met the new owner and complimented him on the dinner we had. Wonderful house salad and one of the best pizzas we have had in the villages. Our server was so nice and attentive. So glad we came back. The previous owner was rude and did not care that our meal was overcooked and literally burnt. Congratulations to the new owners. We will be bringing our Italian friends to experience home cooking in a neighborhood family operated business. Please tip the servers well... Can't wait to sample the menu
The service was great, the food was good when we finally got it. Got here just after 4 on a Sunday, waited for over an hour for our food after we ordered. The server kept saying it would be right out, it wasn't until we said we were leaving that the food came out. Very disappointing as we had somewhere to be, which is why we came so early. Had to cancel our plans since an hour dinner turned into 2 hours. They offered us a piece of cake to go for our patience. No thanks.
If you love frozen pizza, you will love this place. Don't bother.
Had a great dinner tonight at Giovanni's
A true taste of Italy here in The Villages.
The clams linguini was excellent and my wife had the salmon with shrimp!!!
A new reason to come more often.
Giovanni's is a small Italian Restaurant in Southern Trace Plaza. The food is Good Italian Food. We came late -less than a half hour to closing and we were Welcomed. Staff was courteous, attentive and efficient. Thank you waitress, Joanie and hostess, Jacqueline.
The food -we ordered a lot- ranged from good to excellent.
Soup- Italian Wedding- good 3
Appetizers- Fried Calamari, a little chewy 3.5, Vongole- baby clams in a great olive oil, garlic and herb sauce, with toasted bread - 5
Dinners came with basic iceberg side salad, tomato, onion and green olives. Try the house Italian - Good / Rolls -manufactured- served warm so ok
* Linguini with clam sauce -5 a lot of tasty food.
* Veal Marsala - 4 Veal was cooked properly but penne was served under the meat. Marsala sauce was good but not enough for both the veal and pasta. Better if served on side. Standard veggies on plate as well -3
* Spaghetti -you have a choice of 6 different pastas with marinara or meat sauce. I ordered angel hair with marinara. 4 a good Italian sauce. Your 'Momma's Good' but not your 'Nana good'.
Desserts- Spumoni -5 and this from an ice cream guy. Cannoli -4.5 Crispy homemade shell held up to a nicely flavored creamy filling
You can not go wrong dining here.
* Accessibility - the restaurant has an accessible entrance with some jockeying around the hostess stand when entering. There are booths all along both side walls and then small 4 seat tables down the middle, so you could get a wheelchair at a table. But you would have to wait for availability. The bathrooms are all the way to the back so again jockeying between the booths and tables but they are a one person maneuverable restroom.
I've come here so many times over the years and it's always been exceptional! But tonight...was not. I ordered the stuffed shells, like I usually do because they're my favorite, but these were NOT at all like I'm used to at Giovanni's. I'm a full blooded Italian woman who knows Italian food, and this was disgraceful. The ricotta was grainy and not seasoned at all and the marianara was bland. The rolls were still exquisite as well as the Alfredo, but I barely ate one shell. On top of it, our waitress...I can't even recall her name was rude. She may think she was coming across funny, but she wasn't. We had let them take one of the small cups of marianara sauce with some empty plates, and she asked if we needed it for our other rolls. We told her no and she said, well it's in the trash now anyway. And when we left, she said, looks like I have to clean up after you all. Ummmm...we were stacking our own dirty dishes and napkins and such to make it easier for her. I didn't appreciate it and I just won't be back. I never leave a bad review...ever. But this experience was awful. Three stars is a gift.
