This place really need to just close down. My hair braider says to go there to buy some crochet braids, I brought but they were not the ones she wanted to use so I went to return them. They were new and un-used. . A very rude guy at the cash register was very disrespectful and refused to exchange the un-used new hair braids. He doesn't do cash refund ONLY EXCHANGE . He used the F-word to me when I insisted he take back the braids and I wasn't leaving until he exchange them for the new braids I actually wanted. I had to remind him this is America, and ppl are entitled to change their mind on products they buy. His female staff eventually did the exchange. I wouldn't recommend this place, very hood rat, they don't have alot of products either and their prices are higher than other beauty supply places I have visited. 0 star is more like it for them.
If I was able to rate this place a 0 star I would. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else with a better rating. This place is not worth your money. The quality of products is a joke. Customer service is unreliable. Why is this hair store still in business is what I need to know. Do yourself a favor and don't go waste your time and money at this store. I went there for you and I would not recommend it.
Akram is an excellent person to talk to and to do business with. My girlfriend and I travel past two beauty supply stores to make this one our destination. Aside from maintaining a spectacularly displayed inventory, he is very fair and has a staff whom perform professional services such as wig adhesive procedures and eye lash installation. Very professional and high integrity.
it rare you find a beauty supply place with good customer service. The owner is so nice! They cancelled my daughter's hair appointment and they let her exchange the hair, no questions asked, for another type. Thanks for being great!
I agree with the other reviews who were dissatisfied with the customer service at First Lady, because its completely nonexistent. Maybe they’re affiliated with the other one in Brandon, because the employees are just as rude. I walked in and the two people working completely ignored me for the first couple minutes while I stood at the counter clearly waiting for help. A young lady (with some serious attitude) finally offered to get me the hair that I asked for. It seemed like I was annoying her by asking questions about the hair that was really expensive. She just said it was “good hair” but didnt give any details as to why. (Sorry for not wanting to waste my money.) I had just walked into the store, so I still dont know what the issue was with her. I ended up buying the hair and leaving without bothering to look at anything else. Overall, the hair was just “okay” for what I paid. In hindsight, I should have left and took my money down the street to Solid Gold Beauty Supply near 78th and Palm River Rd. I don’t know if they’re affiliated with them too, but I’ve had nothing but good experiences at that one and its much better organized with better quality products, so I doubt it.
Decent prices. Wide variety. Great customer service. Nice people. Very friendly, helpful, and clean. Impressed with how the store is always clean. Cashiers and hairdresser always have a smiling face. It is refreshing. I have bought many wigs. All great quality. And price. I would recommend this hair store to anyone in the area.
Owner has a nasty attitude but they do have good hair selections. The customer service could definitely be better. Feels like a lot when I have to ask one of the girls or owner to grab hair for me that I either can’t reach or just want to feel.
I’ve been coming here for years and haven’t had any problems until this morning when the owner was really rude. He doesn’t like people taking a long time to choose hair supposedly. Felt like the Menace to Society movie when the Asian lady followed the guy and told him to hurry up and buy ????. I will be taking my money elsewhere and buying from black owned beauty supply stores from now on.
