Best PlaceJuice Reviews

First time at this nail salon and I must say I was impressed. Arren the hostess was amazing she really took care of our wedding group of 10. Kim was my personal nail person and she did a great job on my toes and the massage was the best I've had at any salon I've been too. The place is nicely decorated and so many different colors of polish. Kathy did my eyebrows and they look amazing. I would definitely come back to this salon whenever I come to visit family in Waldorf. I recommend you give it a try.

Today, I went to Escape Nails & Spa with my hubby and got to enjoy the Milk & Honey pedicure while he got to enjoy the full care pedicure. Keep in mind that this salon is a little on the pricey side for gel polish, but I greatly enjoyed my pedicure.Gel polish on your toes is an extra $30... I also received a full acrylic set, and since I don't usually go to nail salons, preferring to work with home-based nail techs, I'd say they did a good job for stepping outside of my comfort zone. I will definitely return for another pedicure! Excellent service, pleasant technicians, and a lovely atmosphere.

Update… view picture. Hasn’t been a week yet. My nails don’t normally break this fast if at all.
This nail salon/“spa” sucks!! The only thing I would compliment out of this experience were the two hostesses at the front. They were pleasant! First, let me say the nail techs I’ve experienced were rude and pushy. The lady that did my feet spoke so loudly and told me everything she was doing and why she was doing it—interrupting my experience. She didn’t polish my nails correctly and didn’t file my nails evenly. I got paint on my skin and she had an attitude when I asked her fix it. The other nail tech was trying to force my boyfriend to get the same pedicure as me saying “it’s only $65” when he wanted a $45 pedicure. Then in the middle of the service she asks if he wants a buff and shine, he says ok but she neglects to say it’s $10 more. So at check out we tell them that we weren’t notified and was told I’m sorry and we’re still charged. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE, FOR YEARS THEY HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE!! I tried giving them a second chance but they are NOT worth a 3rd.

Would have been three stars, but they lost one just because the real prices are NOT what is posted here - they are 60% to 80% higher - I really despise the bait and switch. If you're going to post your prices on the internet then keep them up to date because people are going to look at them to decide whether to come to your shop or not.
Fortunately, my daughter was happy with this set, but in my experience it was definitely not a $75 nail job ($85-$90 with normal tip). Probably will not come back any time soon.
I went in for a gel manicure. The only thing I am satisfied with is the shape of my nails. The gel used is of very cheap quality. My nails are not smooth and have started chipping after 3 days. For $50 I expect top quality gel to be used.
I agree Escape is expensive. I also agree that your experience will differ with each nail technician. However, I love this place. The environment, the people, and the snacks all make getting salon services enjoyable. The pedicure selection is amazing. The eye brow and eye lashes are probably the best in the area. I get manicures mostly with my natural nails that are pretty short, but they are always cute, clean, and polished well.
I had Stefany do my nails on Christmas Eve. I had a wonderful pedicure performed by her, though I am concerned that when I asked her about the big toe that I have a tip on because my nail ripped a couple of months ago (it was looking funky after I took the gel polish off) and she said that my nail had totally grown out and there was no tip there. That was a blatant lie.
Then I'd asked for a set of dip powder nails with coffin shaped extensions. I've been getting this service done for over two years so I know very well that you put down two layers of clear base first to create the nail, put on two - three layers of dip color to create the color base, then a layer of the clear powder again to seal the color in. Then you file it down to make it even so that the color really shines and apply a gel topcoat to cure it. This did not happen in my situation.
When we arrived back at her station after picking out the colors - one of which is not the one that I chose, but ended up liking it better - she applied the tips. To her credit, she did a fantastic coffin shape. However, the entire time she's fiing/drilling me, she's ripping my cuticles and the pads of my fingers to hell, telling me she feels bad about it but I'm just so tender. I have been doing my nails for over 20 years and rarely does this happen except with people who don't know their skills.
Then we get to the part where it's time to start the dip process and she goes straight in with the color - puts on like four or five coats of it. No base powder, so it's totally uneven. Then when she files it down to be even, the edges are different colors and in some places you could actually see clear down to the tip. I pointed it out to her and her response was to hand file one nail and that did more harm than good. So the only way to make them look decent was to paint my nails with a color as close to the one as possible since they didn't have the matching polish for the dip powder.
For $185 for this, needless to say I'm a bit heated. I did not provide a tip because I left my wallet at home and they wouldn't allow me to charge the tip to my apple pay. I tried to get back before my dinner on Christmas Eve and couldn't. Now that I've had a couple of days to think about it, I'm not going back to tip. Between her speaking in Vietnamese to her seat mate every time I pointed something out that needed fixed or was a problem, to the poor job she did overall, to the attitude that it was me who didn't understand the process....I'm not trying to reward that behavior. I also felt that writing this review was necessary to warn potential customers.

Quick Facts About Escape Nails & Spa

Escape Nails & Spa has a number of strengths based on the comments provided. One notable strength is the excellent customer service provided by the hostess, Arren. She was highly praised for taking care of a wedding group of 10 and ensuring that they had a positive experience. This shows that the salon is capable of catering to larger groups and providing personalized attention.
Another strength mentioned is the skill of the nail technicians. Kim, in particular, was commended for doing a great job on the customer's toes and providing an exceptional massage. This indicates that the salon employs talented and knowledgeable professionals who can deliver high-quality nail services.
The ambiance of the salon was also highlighted as a strength. The comment mentions that the place is nicely decorated and offers a wide range of polish colors. This suggests that Escape Nails & Spa pays attention to creating a pleasant and aesthetically pleasing environment for their customers.
In addition to nail services, the comment also mentions eyebrow services. Kathy was praised for doing an amazing job on the customer's eyebrows. This indicates that the salon offers a variety of services beyond just nails and has skilled technicians in other areas as well.
However, the comments also reveal some weaknesses of Escape Nails & Spa. One recurring issue is the pricing of services. Several customers mentioned that the salon is expensive and that the real prices are higher than what is advertised online. This can be seen as a weakness in terms of transparency and customer satisfaction. The bait-and-switch pricing tactics mentioned can lead to disappointment and a negative perception of the salon.
Another weakness mentioned is the quality of the gel polish used. One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the cheap quality of the gel used and stated that their nails started chipping after only three days. This indicates that the salon may need to improve the quality of their products to meet customer expectations.
There were also negative comments regarding the rude and pushy behavior of some nail technicians. One customer mentioned that their nail technician was loud, spoke excessively, and had an attitude when asked to fix a mistake. Another customer mentioned a technician trying to upsell services and not being transparent about the additional cost. These comments suggest that some nail technicians may lack professionalism and customer service skills, which can affect the overall experience for customers.
Moreover, there was a specific incident mentioned where a customer had a poor experience with a nail technician named Stefany. The technician provided subpar services, did not follow the proper process for a dip powder manicure, and caused damage to the customer's cuticles. This indicates a lack of skill and attention to detail from this particular technician, reflecting negatively on the salon's overall reputation.
Overall, while Escape Nails & Spa has strengths in terms of customer service, skilled technicians, and a pleasant environment, there are weaknesses in pricing, product quality, and the behavior of some nail technicians. Addressing these weaknesses would be crucial for the salon to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
