We found the Chick N Stick while looking for a non-chain restaurant that was open on a Sunday.
Located in Picayune, MS, this local eatery is worth a stop if you're anywhere in the vicinity.
My sister had the fried shrimp po-boy, which was served on a soft, toasted Hoagie roll with a mountain of sweet, lightly cornmeal battered shrimp. They were outstanding.
The greens and cornbread that came with my breaded pork chop were excellent as well. The cornbread was hot out of the oven, and the greens were tender and juicy.
The prices are very reasonable and the menu is extensive.
The BEST food in town! Everything is made fresh in house and the absolute best home-cooked food you will have in Picayune.
And the greens are sooo DELICIOUS, The best I've had since my grandmaw was living. Definitely would recommend eating here.
Stop in for lunch...ladies working were super helpful and friendly. Food was tasty. Had fish n shrimp over butter rice...yum. my husband had sausage poboy with ranch fries...yum. portions were large!!!! 1 person could split a lunch. Prices are high....but portions are large and tasty
Hidden gem of a place. The food is awesome and very nicely priced. I had the chicken dinner and it is the best fried chicken I have ever had.
First time here. Chicken Parmesan was fantastic and a very nice portion. Wife said the fish with two sides (fries and potato salad) was slamming good and she made two meals out of it. Will definitely be back.
This place is amazing! They've got exactly what you're looking for. Wings, soulfood, pasta dishes, and southern favorites. Had the garlic parmesan wings (which are fried), some mac & cheese and the Hawaiian shrimp. Everything was so damn good. Definitely going back. These mom & pop type places are my favorite & this one did not disappoint. They were open for indoor dining, though did bring it out to the car for us when it was ready (due to Covid-19) for curbside pick up after ordering.
Absolutely amazing food! My wife, son and I stopped in on our way to New Orleans and it was a great find. The family running the restaurant really made you feel welcome and like you were part of their family. Couldn't recommend enough! Hoping to stop by on our way out later this week
Name a better place to get wings in Picayune…. I’ll wait. Seriously amazing food and reasonable prices!
