Chasewater lake /reservoir is situated just outside of Burntwood and Chasetown in Staffordshire.
There's plenty of green open space for walking the dog, taking a stroll or running a circuit.
There's also a park for the kids and an Innovation centre where you can have a drink and a snack and use the toilets if you need to.
The kids may also like feeding the swans, ducks, geese and gulls from the shores of the lake or from the little fort.
The lake has a sailing club and a water sports centre and it also has it's own small railway running for 2 miles round the shores.
The water sports centre have regular activities including water skiing and events such as small powerboat racing.
There is on road car parking by the station cafeteria (the cafe car park is reserved for those travelling on the railway) and at the innovation centre entrance there is pay and display parking in effect.
Lovely place to visit but be careful of the rip off prices in the cafe in the innovation centre, cost me £3.00 for a small sandwich. Feel sorry for family's. Take a packed lunch!
Fab place to meet up with family from North & South. No toilets but at the moment, so be prepared & stop off at the services if your using the motorway to get there!
What a nice place , loved it here. ????
A charming place for a picnic with loved ones. Pier 52 activity center has some amazing options for enjoying water sports. Kids loved Kayaking.
Always nice for a walk around the pool or a stroll along the canal...food drink and ice cream parlour here..reasonable prices...
This place is fantastic. The walks are fabulous and it is well used. Great place for dog walks and a nice play area for kids. Lovely open space
Since they started introducing the parking fee, I ordered a yearly pass. What an absolute nightmare this is. Every year the same thing. You have to wait for it for two weeks, they tell you they call you when it's ready, but they never do. When you do get the pass it's already two weeks gone on it. The staff can't be bothered to help and are miserable. Surely these days it should be all done digitally right there and then when you need it. They introduce these things and then make it as difficult as possible to get the yearly pass.
