Best PlaceJuice Reviews

I’ve had better Caribbean food. Big fat woman behind the counte with the braids has bad attitude. Miserable! Chicken is too bony and veg is watery! Not cheap either...
Been to this place a few times when I've been working in Manchester, and they make absolutely brilliant food! If you love this sorta food then you have to try here, the smell will drag you in from outside, staff are amazing and friendly, and definitely worth a try
In the evenings I get the curry mutton from this place or the ox tail if I’m feeling it also very tender! During the day they do a great lunch time special £4.50 for jerk chicken, rice and peas and salad (seen below)
Brought my husband a fried chicken meal. He said the rice & peas was good enough, even without the chicken & that he thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time we’re in Manchester we will order again.
No flavour what so every the sauce was watery. I did not enjoy this Caribbean at all. Waste of money. Chicken was sat in a tub for hours by the looks of it.
Lovely food, lovely service. Nice place to pop round. grab a selection and wander home with it. The food needs reheating but so what, if your mum made you some food and you had to take it home you'd reheat it wouldn't you? This is homemade mum food standard if you ask me and delicious enough to reheat :)
First of all, my rice didn’t arrive until 40 minutes later and when it did it was completely bland. Was told it had been packed so the driver would just come and drop it but it arrived piping hot (unlike the rest of the food) so clearly had been forgotten.
That was far from the worst of it however - the dumpling were as hard and chewy as rubber. The curry mutton was acceptable, not great, but not terrible either.
I thought the chicken wings might be the redeeming feature, instead they were VERY tough and with flesh that was grey in colour - given that the food was ordered at night I can only imagine these had been sitting around all day (or longer?) and reheated once (or several times). This was a real shame as the coating was actually very nice. If I wasn’t so hungry after a long drive from London I wouldn’t have bothered eating them as it’s pretty clear when chicken is this tough chewy and discoloured that it is FAR from fresh…but alas I learnt my lesson when I physically could not hold my bowels the following day, I’ve never experienced such intense gastric pain - bubbling and burning deep in my stomach and (sorry to say) completely liquid. Having to ask for Imodium at a festival medical tent is a pretty low point, but the struggles and pain I experienced in the toilets beforehand were far, far worse. Luckily they had what I needed on hand or my whole day would have been ruined.
I’m really sorry to say but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with ordering food and certainly would not recommend it. Of all the Caribbean food I’ve eaten this was the absolute worst. Maybe it’s better early in the day, but come closing time the standards were rock bottom
Food was banging but it's all kept cold.
You get asked if you want the food warmed up (of course I do, I don't want cold food) then it's heated up in a microwave?
This in turn meant the jerk chicken was dryer than it should be although still good. Peppered steak was good and heated up better
Get some heaters to keep the food hot rather then reheating it

Quick Facts About Caribbean Flavas

Caribbean Flavas has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Starting with the strengths, several customers praised the taste and quality of the food. One customer mentioned that the food was "absolutely brilliant" and another praised it as "lovely food." These positive comments indicate that Caribbean Flavas has a strong reputation for providing flavorful and enjoyable meals.
The staff at Caribbean Flavas were also mentioned positively in a comment. One customer described them as "amazing and friendly." This indicates that the restaurant's customer service is a strength, with the staff creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for customers.
Another strength mentioned was the lunchtime special offer of £4.50 for jerk chicken, rice and peas, and salad. This affordability can attract customers and encourage them to try the restaurant.
Moving on to weaknesses, there were several negative comments about the quality and freshness of the food. One customer complained that the chicken wings were tough and discolored, suggesting that they were not fresh and may have been reheated multiple times. Another customer mentioned that the curry mutton was acceptable but not great, indicating that the food may not consistently meet high standards.
Furthermore, there were complaints about the waiting time for food and the lack of flavor in some dishes. One customer mentioned that their rice arrived 40 minutes late and was completely bland, while another commented that the sauce was watery and lacked flavor. These issues indicate a lack of consistency and attention to detail in the preparation of the dishes.
Another weakness mentioned was the need for the food to be reheated. One customer mentioned that the food needs reheating and compared it to homemade food that would also need reheating. While some customers did not mind reheating the food, others expressed disappointment that the food was not served hot and fresh.
Lastly, the comment about the location lacking heaters to keep the food warm highlights a potential weakness. Some customers may prefer their food to be served hot rather than having to rely on reheating it themselves. This suggests that Caribbean Flavas may need to invest in equipment to maintain the temperature of their dishes.
In conclusion, Caribbean Flavas has strengths in terms of the taste of its food and the friendly staff. Additionally, the affordability of the lunchtime special offer can attract customers. However, there are weaknesses in the inconsistent quality and freshness of the food, waiting time for orders, lack of flavor in some dishes, and the need for customers to reheat the food. Improving these areas could enhance the overall dining experience at Caribbean Flavas.
