Just to let y’all know….they put relaxer in their shampoo and conditioner. I got a doobie and my hair was straight for 2 months and smelled like chemicals when I washed it…..never again!
Love it here. Great service, fast, and awesome customer service and awesome prices. Great vibes. Returning client
They're Great with natural hair! I take my daughter here to get blowouts and they never disappoint!
Since my 1st visit Liz has been an absolute Godsend......My hair was overprocessed by my prior stylist.....she immediately show me that I did not need to process my hair to attain a bone straight look.....the place is always clean and everyone friendly and professionalism wish I could give more stars
I used to like them but one of the stylist cut my hair when they took out my sew in. They didn’t even say anything. I became aware a month after I took my next install out. Pretty sure it was one of the younger hair stylist. I don’t even understand why they allow the younger stylist to touch your hair. Don’t you need a license for that
Can’t specialize in natural hair for black women!!! Please bring your own shampoo the one they use has perm in it and will ruin your natural curl pattern!!! They ruined my hair so bad I wanted to cry!!! Most Dominican shops are like this though..If you have something to do later on in the day don’t even bother coming here it doesn’t matter how early you come here you will be sitting under the drive 3+ hours..I don’t recommend any black women to come to this shop.
I went here a couple of days ago to get a silk press for my birthday. I saw a couple reviews about how they use excessive heat here and this place isn’t good for 4c hair. I took the risk anyway and went. They used an alarming amount of heat on my hair. I just washed my natural 4c hair and the texture is gone. I have some straight pieces in my head . If you see this please I advise you do not go. Plus it didn’t even last long. If you think the risk is worth it… it’s not.
Quick Facts About Blessed Beauty Salon
Blessed Beauty Salon has received both positive and negative feedback from clients. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will examine the comments provided.
Starting with the positive feedback, one client expresses their love for the salon and the service they receive. They praise Denise, the stylist, and her family for taking great care of both themselves and their daughter's hair. This comment suggests that the salon is known for its excellent customer service and ability to cater to different hair types, including children's hair.
Another comment highlights the fast and great service, as well as the awesome prices. This indicates that the salon is efficient and provides affordable services, which can be appealing to potential clients.
Positive feedback also mentions the salon's expertise in natural hair. One client states that the salon is great with natural hair and never disappoints when it comes to blowouts. This indicates that Blessed Beauty Salon has stylists who are knowledgeable and skilled in handling natural hair.
A client mentions that their hair was overprocessed by a previous stylist, but Liz at Blessed Beauty Salon showed them that they did not need excessive processing to achieve the desired look. This comment reflects the professionalism and expertise of the stylists at the salon.
On the other hand, negative feedback brings forth several weaknesses of Blessed Beauty Salon. One client warns others to be cautious as the salon uses relaxers in their shampoo and conditioner. They had a bad experience with their doobie hairstyle, which remained straight for two months but had a chemical smell after washing. This indicates a lack of transparency or communication about the products used, which can be detrimental to a client's hair health.
Another negative comment points out that a stylist at the salon cut the client's hair without informing them during a sew-in removal. This suggests a lack of communication and professionalism within the salon, as the client was not made aware of the hair cut until a month later. Additionally, the comment questions the qualifications of the younger stylists at the salon, emphasizing the importance of having licensed professionals handle clients' hair.
One client specifically highlights the salon's inability to specialize in natural hair for Black women. They mention that the shampoo used contains a relaxer that ruins the natural curl pattern. This indicates a lack of knowledge or consideration for the specific needs of Black hair. The client also criticizes the long wait times, suggesting that appointments are not efficiently managed.
Lastly, a client shares a negative experience with excessive heat during a silk press. They advise others against visiting the salon, as their 4c natural hair lost its texture and suffered damage. This comment highlights a lack of understanding or care for different hair types and proper heat usage.
In conclusion, the strengths of Blessed Beauty Salon can be seen in the positive feedback regarding excellent customer service, expertise in natural hair, and affordable prices. However, the salon faces weaknesses such as the use of relaxers without client consent, lack of communication and professionalism in regards to haircuts, inability to specialize in natural hair for Black women, and improper heat usage. Addressing these weaknesses can help the salon improve its services and cater to a wider range of clients.
