We stopped off here for a spot of lunch after parking at Nose's Point and walking along Seaham seafront. The cafe is well decorated and feels fresh and new, making for a lovely spot to sit. The only downside is the lack of windows to look out for if you are on your own. We purchased two corned beef pie meals at a cost of 6.75 each, one flat white and one 7up. The corned beef pie was lovely but the accompanying side salad and crisps could have been better. A couple pieces of cucumber, one cherry tomato and iceberg lettuce was a bit disappointing. We paid about £18.50 in total.
We called in for a cupa, the staff were lovely and friendly. I was offered a piece of cheesecake for free as it was too small to sell. I am on a diet and was devastated. I had to say no. We are 100% going back for cheesecake as it looked delicious ????
First time visit today and just stopped in for coffee and cake. Lovely little coffee shop, very friendly staff, good coffee and delicious chocolate orange cake. I did mean to take a photo of the cake but I was a little bit late, maybe next time.
Thought this would be a cute little cosy place to get a cuppa and cake whilst I worked. However the staff weren’t very friendly - a short lady with short blonde hair was very rude and cold towards me, the opposite of the warm reception I was expecting for a little place like this. The place itself is quite cute - sofas are comfy but the place is freezing - it’s 2 degrees outside and not much warmer on the inside. All in all very disappointed and won’t be back. Didn’t get to try the food but it looked nice from watching others orders however I didn’t get that far as on my own and didn’t feel comfortable staying in a place where I was spoken to so rudely. Watching and hovering over me as I worked and had a cuppa. Very strange.
Getting anything vegan in Seaham is very difficult. They did have a milk alternative so I had a tea. My wife is vegetarian so she enjoyed a toastie and a cup of tea. I went to the counter and the waitress said they would come to our table. After ten minutes she eventually came to take our orders. It was so slow in there...
The two stars are for the latte and coffee/walnut cake which were nice, took ages to come though and the place wasn’t even that busy… the young blonde lass that served us was lovely and very pleasant but the other members of staff were ignorant and stuck up, we where sat there and felt like we didn’t exist, not warm and welcoming at all, wouldn’t recommend this place.
Food was alright, bit expensive for what you got. £6.50 for a panini but had barely any chicken in and just a handful of crisps. Didn't try cakes but looked nice.
Very nice. Just had coffee and scones but they were lovely. Will go again
