Called in this lovely little pub by chance after being on a walk and so glad we did, Honestly the best roast dinner we have ever had! Home cooked fresh food and very generous portions. Staff were polite and friendly aswell, would definitely recommend.
First visit here. Very nice country pub with different dining areas, run by great staff. Not all pubs are like this WARM and cosy. Fair choice of menu. We both had the Cajun chicken burger which was huge with fries. Perfect pint of cask beer. Prices everywhere have gone up but not a lot here. Good value for money.
As a Vegetarian Coeliac it's difficult to find places where I can eat but the Bay Horse is brilliant! We ended up here because the Yew Tree Inn was closed and, at first impressions, it felt a bit like one of those backwater pubs that only serve 3 ales and maybe a house wine. How wrong those first impressions were! The choice of food and drink would cater to anyone's needs and I had the first vegan fish & chips I've had in a long time! Excellent service as well and all the staff are super friendly. With all the dogs in the pub it felt like I was in heaven. 5 stars doesn't seem enough!
Fantastic Bowling Green, its a good size and obviously well kept with shelters round the green. The food is excellent, staff are very attentive and the ales are mostly local brews and are kept well
Enjoyed a meal there last week, had homemade cheese and onion pie with trippled cooked chips peas and red onion marmalade. Washed down with a pint of cask ale. Well priced and very nice 9/10
Excellent pub, well themed rooms, good selection of beer and wine, extensive menu. Take note of the portrait in the Christmas room as you may see the subject in the pub
Visited in February so didn’t sit in the beer garden but it looks very good for summer

Super cosy and relaxing. Food was really good . Some items missing on menu hense the 4 stars not 5. Definately will be returning . Great decor
