1st time visiting this place. Do not recommend. I asked for pricing, was ignored and said it will be discussed after the haircut. So I proceeded to sit down and asked how long the wait will be. I got a response "please take a number" after over an hour wait, even with 5 barbers working, they were still cutting the same peoples hair over an hour. I left. Who trims short men's hair for over an hour? So I left. Been to way better barbershops. If you enjoy sitting for over an hour and still waiting for a haircut, this place is for you!

I was in the area, a few weeks ago, I decided to try this place out since I was doing laundry at the laundromat across the parking lot, walked in, no one greeted me even tho I made eye contact with some of the barbers. They were all cutting so I was standing by the door looking for a list to sign in but couldn't find one, I sat down. A few minutes pass by and another customer walks in and they greet him and tell him to take a number, I thought about going to get a number but I figured they saw me walk in so they know I'm first. A second person walks in, greeted again and told to take a number. Now I was feeling unwelcome. I don't want to use the R word but this place might be it. I felt uncomfortable, ignored and discriminated against, I pretended I got a phone call and left.
Robin took the time to cut my hair the way I wanted, and she did a great, professional job. I've been here several times and it has been great every time except once and that one time is because the guy didnt really listen to what I was asking for, and he cut my hair in about 10 minutes.
American Deluxe Barber Shop is the cheapest one I found in Encinitas before Christmas. I got a nice haircut and experience for $20 which is not too expensive. The other ones were between $30-$55. The personal is friendly and we had a fun conversation together. The place is clean and looks modern. It was not too busy and I was not waiting in a line. Strongly recommend this place.
Came in around 1:30 yesterday and had Bryan cut my hair. Super polite dude and did my hair so solid. Will definitely be a regular here. Go here. They do good things.
Average barbers! Plus what place doesn’t have appointments? You walk in and have to wait sometimes a hour and you don’t even get to choose your barber. This ownership is a joke
Have been taking my son there for many years- sometimes a long wait, but barbers there always know what theyre doing and cuts are consistently good. Wish pricing was discussed before you sit down- but other than that, very happy.
Great first-time experience. Walk in, take a number, and wait to be called. They don't do appointments and it's cash only. They have an ATM if you need it. The barbers really do an excellent job paying attention to every aspect of your hair and square away all the lines. Really fair prices too.
