Wow, I wish I had read the reviews that your requests are not taken into consideration, because that was my experience 100%

I came in with medium length hair, just below my ears and covering my neck. I showed the barber some pics of hairstyles longer than mine I was aspiring to, and said I just wanted a trim to remove some weight and keep the hair healthy and growing. He took trimmers to my head so fast and cut off so much length, I was so disappointed in all the progress I had lost in my hair growth. I don’t think it was even a language barrier, how do you shake several pics of medium/long haired models from your phone and then he just chooses to do a completely different haircut.

I would not recommend getting your haircut here. Daniel was very rude to me and seemed greatly annoyed when I asked him to make a couple adjustments. And the haircut was mediocre

The beard trim was average at best, but the man who cut my hair had absolutely no understanding of what I asked for. Perhaps it was the language barrier, which I won’t begrudge for its own sake, but for a professional barber it was almost comical how poor my haircut was. When I tried to guide him towards what I wanted mid-haircut, he got defensive and tried to explain to me what he was doing while it was clear he was completely winging it. It got to the point where the female barber came up to my chair and started speaking to him in Viet(?) about what should change, and he got defensive with her. It wasn’t contentious, he was soft spoken and mild mannered. But I was and am currently deeply unsatisfied. I had to correct his mistakes on my own, and I salvaged my appearance, but now that it has grown out a little bit, I am needing another trip to the barber to correct his mistakes. This was about 6 days ago and I will be certain I never return nor recommend anyone go to this barber.

Rose is one of my favorite barbers in DC. I’ve been to a number of popular barber shops, all great but also all pricey and hard to schedule time. Rose is not only a great barber but also available, affordable, and a fun person to talk with. At my wedding I had a family barber give me a compliment on my hair, Roses doing. Highly recommended!
