We came here during storm Bella. I have never seen so amazing and huge waves! I liked the curve of the pier, must be a nice walk on the top of the wall, not recommended on a windy evening. The lighthouse itself is tatty which gives it a rustic look. I loved it. The surface is uneven, take good care during walking.

Wonderful place to have a wander around, the walk to the lighthouse could be nerve wracking for some as it's a walk along the sea wall. But lovely for a jaunt in good weather, and open for walking at all times. The port itself is interesting to walk around too, lovely views all round.

Well worth a visit if in Whitehaven but beware of the uneven ground. Also take care walking along the to wall as there is a big drop. The views are great to the Isle of Man, Scotland and even Ireland.

There 're many great sunsets to be seen from here over the Irish sea

A nice pleasant walk around the harbour, even in the rain :-)

Wrap up as it can get very windy out on the end of the pier.

The whole area around the front at Whitehaven had been improved and is a really nice place to visit with a few cafes etc looking over the harbour.
