Ich war im WLP Hotel im Jänner 2000 für 4 Wochen zu Gast. Die Lage des Hotels ist etwas abgelegen dafür genießt man hier die Ruhe. Die Qualität des Frühstücks habe ich prinzipiell noch als sehr gut in Erinnerung. Die Apartements im hinteren Bereich sind gut ausgestattet, sauber und ruhig.

Leider ist das Personal - vorwiegend jenes im Restaurantbereich bzw. der Bar, mit der typisch britischen Arroganz uns gegenüber aufgetreten indem dieses unsere Anwesenheit gezielt ignoriert hatte. Da hilft mir auch das dort aufgehängte Foto von Toni Blair, ehemals Gast selbigen Hotels, nichts wenn ich auf die Bestellung gefühlte 30 Minuten warten musste. Eine Beschwerde beim General Manager brachte uns schließlich zum Erfolg - wobei die Getränke auf Kosten des Hauses gingen.

Truly a gem In our locality.

We enjoyed an excellent 3 course dinner and overnight stay followed by a full English. The service was excellent. Accommodation spacious and comfortable.... could have been warmer for my comfort. The highlight for me was the walk around the extensive arboretum. We shall return.

What a find, lucky me. A fabulous, well maintained hotel, set in acres of land with many spaces to just sit and relax.. Brilliant team of people, professional without being stuffy.

Louise in particular made me feel really welcome..

My room was in a pretty annexe in the grounds of the hotel, it was well sized and airy, the bed was comfortable, great view of the garden's , and so quiet.. which for me was a priority.

Breakfast was delicious, great selection of good quality dishes to choose from:

Went as a guest of a very dear friend for lunch in the bar/restaurant. Excellent meal, can highly recommend the mixed salmon & fish fishcake with spinach & poached egg. Lovely venue overlooking the gardens.

Really a beautiful hotel, full of charms, very comfortable beds, very well equipped throughout. Graham, Irene and Edouard were just some of the staff whom were very attentive and professional. Breakfast was absolutely perfect, with a selection of fresh fruits, salmon and full English Breakfast. Would highly recommend it :)

Brady in the bar restaurant went above and beyond.

It was extremely busy so the waiters were fully engaged for a lot of the time.

Brady was serving behind the bar. he saw people in the bar area were waiting for refills of drinks.

He stepped up and provide a very smooth service in collecting used cups and replacing with new order.

Attended today for Afternoon Tea. When we arrived Waitress Lavinia was lovely and she took our order. We never saw her again. We asked for tea and coffee and water. The water and tea never came and the 2nd round of sandwiches We had to ask for much later on into our lunch when we again asked for the water.. Noone came to ask if everything was OK and we had to try to get the staffs attention. I know they were busy but to not attend to their customers was very poor.

Excellent venue for a relaxing weekend away. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them.

Location was good, although due to extensive road works in the area, access was difficult on this occasion.

Today
