Really nice, lovely service and friendly. Kids eat free was a bonus especially as they both had clear plates. Decent portion sizes
Wife & i just had fish chips & pot of tea Bread and butter . Just Brilliant .. we not being to wackers for few years to be honest .. So today we made a point of Visiting while in Scarborough & Boy what a transformation .. The new owners have done a fantastic job of tranforming the place ( pardon the pun ) from the alterations to the food the seating the Friendly staff .. the whole ambiance is so inviting & airey ,we cant wait to be back . The Fresh white fish was honestly the best we have had . the chips so clean & yummy even the bread was thicker than normal & more tea than can drink .. i can say without doubt this fish shop / resturant will do very well i am sure . the prices are very reasonable & we still would not moan if they put prices up ,as the whole experiance is worth every penny & more .. we come from Brid & well worth the trip even if not shopping give it a try you wont be dissapointed .. we will be back,,, Thanks to all involved in running this place .. .. Keep up the good work ..
Excellent value and fantastic fish and chips, very clean and friendly staff, definitely recommend.
Having a relative that lives in Scarborough we visit regularly. For a seaside town we have yet to find a decent fish and chip restaurant...until today. Tried here for the 1st time and the fish and chips were really really good. Also great value with the specials options. Will definitely eat here the next time we visit.
100% DOG FRIENDLY. Our fish and chips were fab, staff and the owner were super nice, our dog got spoilt rotten with yummy dog treats -we have always enjoyed going to Wackers when visiting Scarborough. 10/10 top marks
Walking into Wackers is like walking into the TARDIS as the modest frontage, shared with the takeaway chippy counter, extends far enough into the building to house at least 150 seats.
The teatime special, with enough tea for two cups, was only £10.50, including a decent sized fish in a tasty crispy batter, chips and a choice of mushy or garden peas and tartare sauce or lemon.
They don't rip you off for bread and butter and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The only downside was that we had to eat earlier than we had intended due to closing time being 6pm, but that's a small inconvenience for a good meal.
The next time we're in Scarborough and fancy fish and chips, it will definitely be Wackers.
Oh, and they welcomed our dogs too!
Sat inside for our fish and chips, service was good and the food was delicious! It was very hot inside and lacking a bit of atmosphere so would probably take away next time but can't fault the food at all and would definitely visit again.
First time visiting the eat in restaurant today went with three family members we all had a very nice meal haddock and chips fish was really lovely and the chips were great lovely size fish value for money would definitely recommend staff were really pleasant and chatty
