The people were very friendly and helpful but the chips weren't nice, not sure if it was the type of potato or if they weren't cooked enough. The Doner kebab was rubbery but the chicken kebab was ok. Partner remembered it being one of the best a few years ago but don't think we'll be trying it again.
It may not look much from the outside, but as the saying goes...'never judge a book by it's cover!'
I travel 5 miles to to use this chippy...that's how highly I rate it!
The guys who run it and the young lady who serves you are lovely and the quality of food is the best I've had for quite some time...then there's the size of the portions...WOW!

Delicious fish and chips, and when they say large portions, they mean bloody LARGE. Large chips was about six big scoops of chips and probably enough for 3-4 people. Large cod didn't fit on my plate. They accept card on orders over £5.

I must say, these guys do the best chicken kebab out of any chippy in Notts. I come from West Bridgford where we have many chippy’s but I always go to The Meadows for that chicken kebab.
It really is setting levels!
And great portion sizes aswell.
You will not be dissapointed.. 5* from me !!
