I can't say enough about making an appointment and actually getting in a chair and having my hair done in the time stated. The styles are long lasting and my children love not having their hair done every day or week. My girls are both tenderheaded and they enjoy going there and getting their hair done. Love the atmosphere and the prices are reasonable.
I walk in asking how long it will take for kinky twist the owner insured 3 hours. I’m a single mother whom kids have to be picked up. I got there at 10:52, thinking I’ll be leaving at 2:00 pm. That was not the case. It took 5 hours to do my hair, I ended up having to pay a friend $40 to watch my kids. I told the owner I was taking it out of the $180 I owed her. She cuss me, yelled at me and call the police on me. Which they said I had to pay the agreed payment. In the end she took $20 dollars off but I wouldn’t recommend anyone her service.
worst retwist of my life yo like it’s not even funny how bad my hair turned out told them how i wanted it and they still messed up
Will never go again. Made an appointment and they told me I could come. After driving an hour I get there at the time I was told and she said she couldn't help me. Made another appointment at 9:00 for another day and they didn't even show up until 45 minutes later. Then in the middle of doing my hair she stated she needed to go eat and was gone for about an hour. Not only that but after spending $200 on my hair it came down after 5 days! So called back and she told me to come at 2. I informed her I lived an hour away and had another appointment for my daughter so was on a tight schedule. She said they would start me right at 2. Got there at 2:03 and no one answered the locked door and the open sign was lit. After 30 minutes someone opened the door but when I walked in there were no lights on fans were blowing and someone was sleeping on the couch. For the amount of money people are spending I feel they should be more professional. Towels smell sour as well.
I went to get two feedin braids, she was honest and let me know she couldn't do it cause my hair is to thick. So we went with 5 braids which she only charged $20 more. They don't last long. After about 3 days they were getting fuzzy and I think it's the gel they use that ain't worth nothing. I wish they would learn how to schedule better. It took her over an hour to get to me and I had an appointment.
I went first time yesterday afternoon. I got box braids done to my hair. I got a red color added in my hair. I love it!!! The braids are tight and look very good!!They made sure that my hair looked good and that it looks professional. I am definitely going back!!!
Call to make an appointment at 11:00 was told to be there by 1:00 12:30 received the call asking me to drive to Gaffney to get my hair braided, only after washing my hair and blow drying preparing to blow dry with appointment that she set. Gas is currently $4.00 gallon did not offer any inconvenience discount just told me that she was tired. Extremely poor customer service and lack of regard for another person's time and or energy. Never again....
I go here often. They always do a great job with what I ask

Quick Facts About Touba African Hair Braiding

for and my hair always looks amazing afterwards. The braids are tight and neat, and they last a long time without unraveling or getting fuzzy. I especially appreciate that they are able to work with thick hair like mine and still create beautiful styles. The prices are also reasonable, which is a huge plus for me as a single mother. It's great to be able to get quality hair braiding without breaking the bank.
The atmosphere at Touba African Hair Braiding is also very pleasant. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they create a comfortable and relaxed environment. My children, who are usually quite tender-headed, actually enjoy going to this salon to get their hair done. The stylists are patient and gentle, which makes the experience much more enjoyable for my kids. They also love the fact that their styles last for a long time, so they don't have to go through the hassle of getting their hair done every day or week.
One of the strengths of this salon is their attention to detail. They listen carefully to what I want and make sure to deliver exactly that. I have never had a bad experience with them in terms of getting the style I desire. They also take the time to ensure that my hair looks professional and well-groomed. I always leave feeling confident and satisfied with the results.
However, there are also some weaknesses that should be addressed. One significant issue is the inconsistency in appointment times. Some customers have reported that the salon does not stick to the agreed-upon appointment times, causing inconvenience and frustration. This lack of punctuality can disrupt other plans and schedules, which can be particularly problematic for customers who have to travel long distances to reach the salon. Additionally, there have been instances where the stylist left in the middle of a hair appointment, leaving the client waiting for an extended period of time. These incidents reflect a lack of professionalism and respect for customers' time.
Another weakness is the quality of the products used. Some customers have complained that the gel used by the salon does not hold up well and causes their braids to become frizzy and unravel quickly. This is a significant issue, as it reduces the longevity of the style and can be frustrating for customers who expect their braids to last for a reasonable amount of time. Touba African Hair Braiding should consider using better quality products or exploring different styling techniques to ensure that the styles are long-lasting and meet customer expectations.
There have also been reports of sour-smelling towels, which suggests a lack of cleanliness and hygiene. A salon should prioritize a clean and sanitary environment to provide a positive experience for customers. It is essential to address these hygiene issues to maintain a professional and reputable image.
In conclusion, Touba African Hair Braiding has several strengths, including long-lasting styles, reasonable prices, a comfortable atmosphere, and the ability to work with different hair types. However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed, such as inconsistent appointment times, the use of low-quality products, and hygiene concerns. By addressing these weaknesses and improving their services, Touba African Hair Braiding can enhance the overall customer experience and strengthen their reputation in the industry.
